Bridesmaid's shoes

Uhtredswoman · 14/06/2020 10:52

My DD10 has been asked to be a bridesmaid in September and we need to find some shoes!

The bride has chosen 3" silver strappy sandals which are beautiful, but will be:

a) too high
b) too wide
c) too expensive as if bought now, possibly too small if the wedding is postponed due to COVID

Google has not helped so was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of where to look for narrow, cheap, mid-height strappy silver sandals?!?

DD is not happy with flats when all other bridesmaids will be wearing high, glamorous heels 😱

TIA

Have you tried dance wear suppliers? You can get Latin/ballroom shoes in kids' sizes, have a look at Roch Valley - quite a few in silver with low or mid heels.

What sort of size shoes?

Are you ok with you 10 year old wearing heals? Is it necessary?
Would a similar colour strapped flat sandals even work?

Search on eBay, loads of choice and might pick up a once worn bargain.

Dance shoes is a good suggestion. Otherwise New Look has a very wide selection of shoes. You could also take the shoes to a cobbler to get a rubber sole put over the section beneath the balls of the feet and the toes to make them less slippery and slightly more comfortable.

Thanks for the suggestions! Hadn't even thought of dance shoes! And she's a size 4, so I have ideas of where to look now - thanks!

@bubblesforlife I see what you're saying, but I'd like to at least try to find something similar, but not as high.
