Birkenstocks

I love Birkenstock sandals and recently came across a site selling them at a pretty good price so decided to order a pair. Silly old me 😩 of course it was too good to be true. Apparently it’s a scam site. In my account it tells me that the purchase failed but they have taken the money from my bank account. I’ve emailed them but no response. Lesson learned 😳

It's a good site so I can see why you were sucked in. Although there are some glaring grammatical errors in their "about us" section etc.

I'm not sure who this site could be reported to. Maybe someone else might come along with more knowledge.

By law all websites that trade in the UK have to state a bricks and mortar address and contact details somewhere. If a site doesn't it's not lawful. It's one of the first things I look for in a website, if it's not there, I avoid like the plague. You're right though, that site is a step up from a lot of scam sites, sorry you got taken in.

I’d also agree the site is very professional

The clues are in the about us and the contact us.

For example the grammar is poor

“Sincerely welcome you to our outlet store online. You can be assured to enjoy the first-class quality products and the top level service. If you are interested in any products, you can be free to contact us. We welcome any inquiry and suggestion and will reply you without delay. Thank you for your messages”

And they have no telephone number no address etc, however I also can see you’d be suckered in. Have you dialled the police non Emergsncy and citizens advice scam service?

Also op have you cancelled the card you paid with and th card supplier as they now have your card details and can use it for other purposes.
