Best uplifting bra for large boobs

arianwe · 13/06/2020 14:16

I have 30F boobs which have gone somewhat south since having 2 children.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a really good, uplifting bra for this size??

Thanks

It’s impossible to say for sure because every boob is different. I’m also also a 30F but my boobs will be a completely different size and shape to yours. It will also depend on the cut and structure of the bra so I couldn’t even recommend a brand because the fit will vary from style to style. For example, I like Fantasie and Freya bras as brands, but within those ranges I might be a 32F in one style, a 30F in another whilst another style might not fit me at all.

Normally I’d recommend finding a branch of Bravissimo and having a fitting but obviously that’s not possible at the moment. Try having a look at their website - they will probably have some fitting advice on there.

And be warned - good supportive bras for us busty wenches are expensive!

AnxiousElephant77 · 13/06/2020 14:47

I like Curvy Kate, mainly because I hate balconette bras which Bravissimo seem to have an abundance of.

Snooks1971 · 13/06/2020 15:19

In the same boob boat here (well, 34F). I usually go to a Freya and Fantasie factory outlet but they’re closed for the foreseeable and I am desperate for new bras.
So yesterday I placed a huge order on Bravissimo - 8 bras, £268. Paid by credit card and returns are free. I’m hoping at least one, perhaps 2 will fit out of that lot, here’s hoping.
OP maybe have a look at Bravissimo like pp suggested (pretty sure they stock Curvy Kate as well). Use the search options to narrow your options down, eg I like underwired with full cup coverage, not padded, not balconette etc and I’m fussy about the strap width!

I am an H cup and the best and most comfortable bra for me is the Bravissimo Satine. It's the only bra that I forget I am wearing and comes in a good range of colours.

It gives good uplift without giving you a boob "shelf" just under your chin.

Quarantimespringclean · 13/06/2020 15:24

That’s an excellent point @AnxiousElephant77. I can’t wear balconnette bras of any size or from any range because my boobs are so round they look ridiculous in them. Whereas some shape boobs really suit them.

AnxiousElephant77 · 13/06/2020 15:29

I just prefer a more streamlined shape and when I'm wearing balconette I feel like they're under my arms!

SorrelForbes · 13/06/2020 16:31

I'm a 30F (I wouldn't say that my boobs are at all big though!). I wear Cleo Marcie, Panache Jasmine and Panache Petra (the latter in a 30FF) and the CHP shape by Ewa Michalak. All give good uplift.

I’d be very pleased if I could get my boobs just under my chin, they are heading towards my waist.

Hopeislost · 13/06/2020 16:35

@Snooks1971 Where is the factory outlet?

rbe78 · 13/06/2020 16:36

Depends what kind of bra suits you best. I'm a 34F, and plunge bras suit me best. Balconnette bras make me look like someone's stuck a shelf on my chest!

If plunge bras suit you, my absolute fave at the mo is the Gossard Superboost - uplifting without being a push-up, light padding, really comfy, makes my boobs look fucking ace (if I do say so myself). I'm working up to owning one in every colour...

Best thing to do (when covid allows) is to take a trip to Bravissimo - they'll sort you out in no time!

Bella2020 · 13/06/2020 17:02

I'm a 34G and the best bra I've ever found is the Charnos Everyday full cup bra. It's full coverage with side support and is pretty sturdy, made in nude, black and white. I often buy them on eBay but the nude option is becoming harder to find in my size lately.

Snooks1971 · 13/06/2020 18:08

@Hopeislost it’s in Desborough, Northamptonshire. They don’t have a website but here is a link to their FB page - looks like they will be opening on M0nday!

They are a tiny shop (amazing swimwear too) right next to the factory. They stock last season’s Freya, Fantasie and other luxury brands. They used to make Rigby & Peller once upon a time!

Craftycorvid · 13/06/2020 18:14

I like Freya or Panache. For great support under anything not too low cut, Molke crop tops are the comfortablist things ever invented though a slight wrestle to get on; I even run in mine and nothing wobbles where it ought not to wobble. I have lost volume but not size post-meno’ so have to be careful of bra shape as some full-cup styles leave me with enough room up top to stash a packed lunch and a good book.

KellyHall · 13/06/2020 18:17

I'm a 32GG. My favourites are Wonderbras. Especially the ultimate strapless, it's got hand shaped support and is so comfy.

Ginandbearit1 · 13/06/2020 23:42

I have been fitted and bought these for the last few years, they are excellent and give great support and shape. Apparently very popular (give great look under clothes).

Have a look at Prima Dona “Madison”. They are expensive but give a great shape andare incredibly comfortable. They are ££ but last and last.

vaz119 · 14/06/2020 16:10

I'm a 30ff but lost about 2 stone so loss of volume at top.

My go to bra is the fantasie Smoothing (non padded) bra. Really boring looking tshirt bra. But gives a fantastic round but natural shape with great uplift and a smooth line under clothes.

Ive had about 10 over the years in black white and nude... It's just such an easy purchase... I absolutely hate bra shopping 😭
