Leggings like sweaty betty?

Hairydogmummy · 11/06/2020 22:17

Finally decided to take the plunge and get some sweaty Betty power leggings for my birthday...except most sizes and colours are OOS. Are there any similar brands, or should I wait? I should say I rarely exercised before lockdown so new to the whole workout wear thing! Thank you!

I’d say wait for them to come back in stock, if you sign up for the newsletter they do have new stock (eg new colours) relatively frequently. I’ve tried a lot of leggings and they’re the best ones!

Hairydogmummy · 11/06/2020 23:38

Thanks! I'm bad at waiting but I think I should try. I've joined the mailing list a while back and have done the 'email me when in stock'!

Worth waiting for! But also worth checking the site regularly for new stock, I signed up for a "tell me when they're back in" email ... which arrived after I'd spotted the leggings back in stock, ordered them and received them !

JingleCatJingle · 11/06/2020 23:54

I feel your pain.
I kept checking back on the power leggings and they are actually worth the wait!
Here’s a link to get 25£ off!

(Though I will also get money)
The leggings are quite lovely.

Hairydogmummy · 12/06/2020 00:16

Thank you! Thanks for the code @JingleCatJingle. Are the tops etc worth the money too? Or just the leggings? Not sure what size to get. I have small waist but bigger bum and thighs. Always need a 12 in skinny jeans but wear 10 otherwise.

I get my leggings from Alo Yoga. Expensive but quality is excellent. Yoga Rebel have good sales and stock a good range of leggings.

ZaraW · 12/06/2020 13:10

Looks like Yoga Rebel are having issues they used to be so good.

JingleCatJingle · 12/06/2020 14:54

@Hairydogmummy I just bought the leggings, I’ve heard nice things about the hoodies.
I’ve bought a lot of running leggings and I can definitely see why there’s so much buzz about these.

CaptainWentworth · 12/06/2020 16:17

@JingleCatJingle I don’t think your link works? Shame as I would love some more zero gravity leggings! I wanted some power shorts too for runs in hot weather but they seem to have disappeared off the site completely now.

jsfans · 12/06/2020 16:24

I actually have some simiya high waist leggings there very very comfy plus I think about £13 if your looking for something cheaper.

Hairydogmummy · 12/06/2020 16:44

@JingleCatJingle would love a hoodie...they're sooo expensive tho!! Was thinking of getting a vest as you get £30 if you buy both but it still going to be similar to a cheaper one. Thanks for the recommendation on the simiya @jsfans can't believe the price and they do get good reviews. You don't know where they're made do you? I'm trying to buy more ethically and I worry about things that cheap but then I'm kidding myself if I think I'll exercise enough to truly justify expensive ones!!
The Uniqlo ones are mostly OOS too @nitgel sadly. They look like a good compromise and nice colours/patterns.

Lululemon, if you can afford, is great, and don't roll down like the power leggings. I find the power leggings a bit annoying, especially for yoga or anything you need to bend down for.

KatharinaRosalie · 12/06/2020 21:45

Those ones are the best I've tried and I've gone through hundreds. Super soft but hold-you-in fabric, high waist that won't roll down or dig in. www.barasportswear.com/collections/tights

damnthatanxiety · 12/06/2020 22:42

Itsabeautifuldaytosavelives123 depends on your body shape. I find Power Leggings to be about perfect. Don't roll down, don't go see through, comfy. But I guess you don't!

Born Nouli and My Gym Wardrobe are a good alternative. I have these.
