Where to get a decent hoodie or sweatshirt?

I want a nice good quality hoodie or sweatshirt. Had a look on fat face, but their colours are always so bland and pastel. I don't want light pink just because I'm female, thanks.

Don't mind spending up to £50 for a decent one.

Where's good to try?

Sweaty Betty and small businesses on Insta such as Hari and the Gang, and Sabrina & Scarlett Designs.

Gap still do good sweatshirts. I got a nice gray one with tiny embroidered flowers. It’s got a fleecy inside and has washed well.

BAM

EspressoX10 · 11/06/2020 18:04

I've been looking for ages.

Bought a few (from different brands) and they all seem to have disproportionately baggy sleeves.

I have never had this problem with ant other type of garment, so it can't be me!

Anyone feel the same?

Castoreum · 11/06/2020 18:22

I have a nice one from Urban Outfitters. It's not madly long like some of them are, just hits on my hip which is how I like them.

LaurieFairyCake · 11/06/2020 18:24

I bought a Gap zipped hoodie in the sale last week for £17. It's really good.

Scarby9 · 11/06/2020 18:25

Weird Fish?

DelphiniumBlue · 11/06/2020 18:27

Bam. The Serenity Hoody is more t-shirt material than sweatshirt, but it is really comfy and looks great. Think I might get another one.

EmmelineGreen · 11/06/2020 18:28

Carhartt do great sweatshirts. I don’t know about hoodies. Totally plain with just a little logo on the wrist. Really good quality.

EmmelineGreen · 11/06/2020 18:31

Meh just checked Carhartt website and they don’t have the plain sweatshirts anymore. They do have hoodies though they look a little tighter fitting than I like.

ineedto · 11/06/2020 18:47

Sweaty Betty, M&S and Cos are my favourites.

MilkshakeandFries · 11/06/2020 19:12

Current favourite is a Jack Wills hoodie but it is a bit on the short side so if you want it to cover your bum maybe size up.

Also Sweaty Betty, sign up and they're offering 25% off at the moment.

Nat6999 · 11/06/2020 19:15

I've got a lovely hoodie from Elsie's Attic, really thick & has cuffs that have thumb holes to keep your hands warm.

MoltoAgitato · 11/06/2020 20:19

Community Clothing, also check out the men’s section in H&M.

SunnyUpNorth · 11/06/2020 23:02

I came on to say I have one from BAM that I took a punt on and LOVE. I also have the chunky cowl neck one from Sabrina and something, insta lady mentioned above. It’s gorgeous. I really want one of the Hari ones too.

Victoria1083 · 11/06/2020 23:14

I’m loving Scamp & Dude sweatshirts at the moment - colourful, fun, soft and very well made (in Portugal, I believe). They are not super thick, so absolutely perfect for this weather. They have a great selection of colourways and I’ve got a massive wishlist

Thinkpinkstink · 11/06/2020 23:18

I love Scamp and Dude, I have four of them in the same pattern (lightening bolts with animal print) but in different colours. Approx. £50 full price, £35 in the sale. Come up slightly small.

Bodie83Nahla · 12/06/2020 06:40

Jack Wills - bought a few recently in their sale, approx £40 each. Lovely colours - I bought black, grey, olive green and burgundy. Great quality and very cosy.

CocoLoco87 · 12/06/2020 06:47

I'm a size 14 and quite tall so I bought a mens hoodie from superdry, size L. Finally a hoodie where the sleeves are long enough! They had 50% off when I got mine

Absolutely second Sweaty Betty. I live in their hoodies and leggings. Unlikely you'd get one for £50 though. You're probably looking at about £90 up. I was nervous about spending that but I think it's worth it because the quality is great. I always get compliments when I wear them too.
albird · 12/06/2020 12:04

Ive bought a couple from Hush and they are really lovely - within your price bracket too.

mrsrhodgilbert · 12/06/2020 17:11

Sorry, bad linking I think but Colourful Standard. I got one this week and it’s great quality, they do a lovely range of colours too.
