Glycolic acid toner

I have the Pixi one - has anyone had any success with it? I’ve used it once a day for a week and had a purge of spots on my chin but much smaller than a breakout and healing quickly.

Should I only use it once a week or something?

Just my opinion but I found Pixi Glow completely ineffective. It’s a low % of glycolic acid and they’ve had a lot of marketing hype. Try the Nip+Fab pads instead (the extreme version are 5% glycolic acid).

Oh and twice a week initially and build up from there.

Superdrug do a 5% one too, experiment and see what your skin prefers.

I love the Superdrug one, naturally radiant, they often do it half price at about 5 quid. I use it every evening after cleansing, my skin has never looked better. It is so soft and glowy. I use the whole range, cheap as chips, love it. I don’t work for Superdrug FYI Grin

@mrslebon the percentage is Pixi Glow is 5% too!

Yes but the Pixi Toner’s pH is around 4-5. AHAs, like glycolic acid, require a pH of “4 or lower” to effectively exfoliate the skin. So you could say it’s a weaker exfoliant. It did zero for me.

I like the Superdrug 5% glycolic acid too. It works well and seems to make a difference to my skin.

I was just about to say the superdrug one when I see everyone else beat me to it. It is fab though and not too expensive.
