Which mom jeans do you highly recommend?

I have spent virtually all my life in skinny jeans when out of the office but I‘ve started to feel a bit out of fashion lately...
I therefore decided to try on my 15 yo DD’s mom jeans to wear at a party with trendy friends and omg I loved the look! An added bonus is that they are so comfortable (that I kept wearing them afterwards, to the annoyance of my DD). I’d like to get a few pairs for myself (blue denim, white and maybe black). Where do you recommend me to shop? Price is not an issue, I just want the look, cut, fabric, detail etc to look good. Shape wise I am quite tall and a small size 8.
Oh and which shoes do you recommend wearing with mom jeans? I live in plain Stan Smith and I feel with these I should be wearing trendier trainers with a higher sole if that makes sense. Any ideas welcome! (bearing in mind my style is more on the classic side).
Thank you!

Topshop

Where are your dds from?
They sound perfect!

ineedto · 10/06/2020 23:02

I would look where your DD got hers. Topshop do a decent selection as do Zara.

DD’s are from Stradivarius, a brand which is part of Inditex, Zara’s mother company (not sure how well known the brand is in the UK).
They look great but quite plain (even for me!) and I was hopping to find something a bit more refined.

I’ll look up Zara and Topshop, thanks a lot for the suggestions!
Any ideas regarding trainers to go with it?

I've got mom jeans from M&S that are actually pretty good. Also second the Topshop recommendation.

For trainers, have a look at Adidas Sleek, Adidas Superstars and Nike Air Force 1s.

Hush are pretty good
Sadly I’ve got too porky for mine

I posted this in the wrong place first but ppl need to see this !
Monki , an off shoot of H & M currently as of today , have 20% off their already very reasonably priced jeans
I recently got 2 pairs I’m absolutely delighted with and I’m very fussy
I’ve never really had the pair of perfect jeans , until now
I like sturdy denim with minimal stretch , can’t stand baggy arse or knee
True dark deep blue
Robust stout denim
Styles to accommodate my small waist in comparison to my hips
High waist

I wear the Farleigh Jean from ASOS, multitude of colours, lengths, sizes etc, next day delivery and free returns.

Coconut2010 · 22/08/2020 14:54

@Fiftysixthnamechange Thanks for the recommendation, I’ve just looked them up and they look good!
In the end I ended up purchasing the same as the one I borrowed from my DD as I was in a rush and didn’t have time to risk having to return them, but I will certainly remember them why I start my autumn shopping. I really like the look of these mom jeans and they are so comfortable. I have also bought a couple of boyfriend jeans and they fit pretty well. I haven’t worn my skinnies since July!! Shock If I feel brave enough I will post a picture on this thread next time I wear them!

There are lots around, I'd look at:
Topshop
River Island Blair jeans (I'm not normally a River Island type but these jeans are really good!)
Gap
Arket
Mango
