Firstly, I like wearing jeans. It’s my life’s mission to find low rise but they suit me and I feel comfortable in them. I basically wear jeans of some sort every day. I wear them until they are worn through. I’m a Vase in old Trinny/Susannah lingo and they specifically say jeans are good for this body shape.
But recently I’ve started to wonder if many women are not actually great in/with jeans. There are loads of threads about finding the perfect pair, they can be hard to fit/size, especially with the bewildering amount of fits and washes, and I’ve heard several people say they haven’t gone near jeans since lockdown began (which would never have occurred to me).
I’m starting to think the idea every woman should find the perfect pair of jeans is a bit of a fashion mag myth and if you don’t like jeans you should just give up on them entirely and find something you are comfortable in. I’m sure plenty of you have already come to this conclusion so this is more for anyone still thinking there is something wrong as the perfect pair remains frustratingly elusive.
PS I can’t wear a classic white shirt - another alleged must have!
