Quality knitwear for winter

Hello! I've decided in my
Lockdown wisdom that I'm too old//grown up/whatever for fast fashion and I would like to invest in some quality clothes that I will love and wear for years. Decided to start with winter woollens and what better time to find a bargain than in summer, right?! Well, all the 'quality' brands I looked at (Reiss, Boden, Hush etc) were fine but boring for the investment. I quite like batwings, quirky stuff and colour but neutrals also welcome if the shape is nice. I think clothes from other decades seem more flattering tbh-30's-80's. Anyone have any good tip offs? Would be so appreciative!

What sort of price range are you looking at? My two favourite jumpers are a colour block lambswool jumper from Brora (they've got some interesting things in their clearance list atm) and this jumper from Finisterre. Muji is always interesting as well, but tends to just have a very small selection of seasonal clothes, so you'd need to look later in the year.

I like uniqlo and woolovers for knitwear plain but in lots of colours
I rely on tkmaxx for more interesting knitwear brands like missoni

Thanks so much all. Bought this just now. Off to Berlin at Christmas (maybe!) so feel like it'll be a good one to wear. I mean it's reasonably priced yet still the most I've ever paid for a jumper
