Sun protection - when to apply?

I often read that one of the best skincare tips is to wear sun protection every day. My question is, where in your makeup routine would you apply it?? Google has given me conflicting advice.

My usual routine is very simple, just cleanser then moisturiser/BB cream.

Depends what you use. I moisturise then put this on then facepowder on top.

Skincare stuff eg moisturiser, then sunblock, then makeup.

If it pills up on your skin the previous layer hasn’t absorbed. I give everything a few minutes to sink in, especially the sunblock because that has to bind with the skin.

I use Ultrasun and they advise that you use it before any additional skin care.

Sunscreen is the final step in your routine, before makeup.

I would agree with the above. Use after moisturiser. I don't wear make up much, especially not foundation these days, but if I was, I would apply make up om the skin after this, after sun cream.
I just have bought a spf spray, so will give this a go in the next week - this, I will try spraying it on at the end of everything - moisturiser, make up including foundation, concealer. Does anyone have any suggestions about what they do with a facial spf spray? Wink

Ultrasun is totally different, it’s designed to be used first. Most other SPFs should be used as the last step of your skincare routine, before make-up. In your case I’d use it before your bb cream, but give it a few minutes to sink in.

Cleanse
Ha serum
Vit c serum
Moisteriser
Sun cream

Then make up if I'm wearing it. I use la Roche Posay.
