Perfume Molecule 01 and Molecule 02

Please tell me about these perfumes if you use them.

I got molecule 1 after smelling it on a friend, as I thought it was really lovely. It smells very differently for me, even out of the bottle. some days it smells like petrol! it seems to smell differently throughout the month, I wonder if it's related to hormonal changes? not trued molecule 2.

I sprayed it on from a tester in Harvey Nicks but didn't notice any smell.

I have 01, I like it. It’s the perfume that I’ve had the most compliments on from DH, friends etc. And once from a woman who was next to me on a packed tube.

I know it's supposed to smell differently on everyone but what's the basic scent like? Floral? Woody? Is it similar to anything else on the market?

A friend at work wore 02. She smelt intoxicating. People would literally follow her around the hospital. Amazing!

I love it. It does definitely smell different on different folks though. I had molecule O1 - can't afford these days :) My friend bought it without me knowing and I pursued her round the room......poor woman.

There are dupes on amazon - normally I'd not be in favour of these but molecule 01 has only one ingredient and the dupes I think are excellent.

01 to me smells like fresh air combined with damp woods and a hint of something less... salubrious! Sort of primal, sexy, intimate. A good, earthy, smell. Like the olfactory (smell) equivalent of umami.

I had 01, went to visit my best friend abroad and she practically stole it from me. It smelled divine on her. Differently, but also good, on me. Bought myself another bottle back in the UK. I just love it. Although, haven't worn it since quarantine.
I am going to put my 01 on now and make my OH crazy tonight 😊

Yes it smells different on different people but I’d say it’s woody/earthy. You can get a travel size if you want to try it out and don’t want to spend too much.

I have 01, it’s a very pervasive scent when I have it on. I have had one person react with amazement and ask what I was wearing.
I think you can layer it under other perfumes too. ‘Not A Perfume’ by Juliette Has A Gun is the same idea, I believe.

Perfume parlour does a dupe of it.
Does anyone know if it is very similar ?
Perhaps I should try that - dip my toe into the water as it were.

Can the travel refill be used on its own without the original travel "case" ?
It's a smaller size and cheaper and as money is tight it might be wise to buy the smallest,cheapest option as I won't be going to test it in a shop anytime soon and I may not like it.

Hard to describe...but 01 is quite fresh imo. I wear it but can very rarely smell it on myself, but get loads of compliments and comments on it. I often layer it with another scent too.

The Perfume Parlour version is excellent. I can't smell it much on myself, but that's the same as with the original.

However, someone at work said "You're wearing Molecule, aren't you?". Aha no, it's a £3 copy.

My opinion is that it's only one aromachemical, iso-E-super, and on it's own it smells a bit "unfinished" to my nose, but it's great for layering with other fragrances.

I bought the dupe of it. So far no one has said I smell nice.
I can't smell anything.

Smelt like damp and urine on me. Most disappointed :(

DH used to wear 01 when we first met, I had forgotten all about it!
Might treat him to some soon for a nostalgic trip down memory lane

I bought 01 and love it. It’s strong on me and I have to avoid spraying near my hair unless I want to smell of it 24/7!

I think it smells like that awful anti fly spray you were able to buy years ago (I'm not sure you still can because of toxins) on me. Certainly the initial hit does.

I got the dupe as it , as one poster states, ionly contains one ingredient.

Maybe because the dupe isn't the real thing is why ?!

I have the Molecule 01 30ml in the case - the case is nice but you definitely don't need it.

It's hard to describe the smell - mostly chemically but slightly woody. On me it isn't horrible or nice, just a bit 'nothing'. And no one ever compliments me on it!

You can usually buy little samples on ebay to try first.
