Gap jeans size help

I'm looking to order some jeans online from gap. I usually go to store and try on but obviously can't at the moment.

So I have gap girlfriend jeans in size '28' that are a bit big for me and gap jeggings and skinny jeans in size '31' that are a good fit.

In other shops I would take a 14-16 depending on the shop.

Gap online seems to be in UK sizes and I can't make head nor tail of their size chart.

So what size should I order? I'm leaning towards 14 as gap can be quite generous with sizes.

I've always been completely befuddled by gap sizing.

The Gap jeans I have on today are a size 10 and the label says 38. Which must be the European size. Though 38 is a 12 in H&M. My Gap shorts say size 6, which must be the US size. Who knows. Order a few!

I'm jeans I go down a size for Gap every time and I have lots of their jeans. I'm a UK 10 so take a UK 8 in gap jeans and they are just right.

You aren't the only one. I normally take a size 6 24/25 in jeans but I have a couple of pairs of Gap jeans that say Size 0 on the label. They are too big.
