Comfiest non ugly sandals for cloven hooves with split heels

I have hideous feet with hard skin that cracks and bleeds, am working on sorting them out but all my sandals and shoes seem to make them worse as they aren't cushioned enough under the heel

Can anyone recommend some comfy sandals that don't make your eyes bleed? :)

You could try the Forever Comfort range from Next, they have some nice sandals this season

Not a sandal recommendation, but came on to suggest Flexitol Heel Balm - it's sorted mine out!

I was going to recommend Flexitol heel balm too, the stuff is miraculous!

I have the same problem OP. Even with Flexitol twice a day, and scrubbing with a Newton sponge, the wrong sandals can leave my heels in shreds after an hour. I’ve found sandals with an enclosed heel are better than most, but they are few and far between. I found a nice pair from Grattan last year. The brand was Tamaris.

I have a really pretty metallic pair from echo that suit my fussy, wider feet.

I've just been looking at fit flop as I haven't had any for yonks and I used to love them - their range is huge now and they have lots of different sandal styles. They have different types of sole beds now too, some more cushioned than the originals.

Sadly flexitol doesn't work for me either I truly have demon feet.
I'll check out the brands suggested - had forgotten fitflop existed!

No sandal recommendation but have you tried a foot mask, it's like do other but instead of peeling the skin off it really moisturiser and had better effects on my feet than footner.

@Aisforharlot have you been to a chiropodist? Might not be able to at the moment but they can work wonders! I have also had awful feet in the past but much better now.

Try silicone heel socks? I wear mine in the evening/overnight but you can also get them in a flesh colour which you could wear during the day. You can use them with or without foot cream.

Mine came from Amazon about 18 months ago, cost about £2. (Also did an amazing job of helping my heels to peel after I did a footer type treatment).

Do you think is it worth discussing it with your dr.? Your heels really shouldn't be bleeding.

DH swears by Boots own brand healing cream for feet. Sorted his cracked heels out in a week.

Bare feet and sandals are the very worst thing for my feet . Split heals and underneath the big toe . I can’t wait to be back in socks and boots . The only thing that I can wear comfortably in the warm weather that don’t split my skin are Sketchers 😡 but it is bliss .

I get deep cracks. What sorts it quickly is coconut oil on, plastic bag and sock over it and leave it overnight.

To be honest if you have open wounds on your feet you probably shouldn't be wearing sandals

Gabor, or Hotter. I always thought of Hotter as being rather frumpy, but very stylish best friend has the Tourist sandals in vivid yellow and they look stunning on her . They are also very soft and padded underfoot.

The blue foot balm when all going well, there are others for more serious conditions. Slather on your feet in the evening and put on socks to sleep in. Enjoy.
