I'm getting more silver by the day, whether I like it or not

Contemplating having it cut short after lockdown and just going with it.

I saw something on Bored Panda about "embracing the grey". Seriously, their hair was bloody beautiful!

I bought a Bleach London Fade to Grey semi permanent colour to put over my blonde highlights to blend it with my salt and pepper roots but haven't been brave enough to put it on!

What are you doing?

Was it that hairdresser Jamie something ? The one that did Sharon osbourne’s hair ?

I'd love to do this. My roots are silvery and soft. But I can't get my head around people seeing me from the back and thinking I'm an old lady!!

I'm still dyeing my hair (64), but saw the photo of Judy Dench last month, and she looks fab. I just have to get my nerve an so take it to my hairdresser.
My (ex) sister in law posted a photo of herself looking fab on fb, and she said she went from brown to blond first, then let the grey take over naturally...

I think it’s olaplex bleach and silver toner I’m also cutting it too 🙈

It a real shock though and I look like a different person, I’m gona. To have to play around with my wardrobe and make up to see what suits me now, I think some people will not recognise me when they see me !

I've been growing my colour out over lock down and am now almost completely silver (I have short hair which DD has been cutting for me after watching some YouTube vids!!). I think I like it but feel that I would like to funk it up a bit with some streaks of colour when hairdressers go back. In the meantime has anyone tried hair chalks?

I have been grey for a couple of years now. I love it and get a lot of compliments. Embrace it I say.
