I know its been done before but often it comes out hush or something unaffordable. Any soft summerweight black (or plan coloured) trouser recommendations for the more budget conscious amongst us.
Not keen on a dropped crotch. cotton would be nice but must be budget friendly

I have a couple of pairs of these. They're pretty flattering and the black can be dressed up a bit. They do crease easily though, being viscose.

Not many sizes left in black though. I'm in Spain so links might not work properly.

On the UK website they're called pull-on trousers and cost £9.99.

Uniqlo is by far the best place for cheap, decent quality trousers, IMO. What about these?

Tinkletwat · 03/06/2020 14:12

Just got some cotton linen mix ones from Uniqlo, quite a good selection there

I live in linen trousers in the summer, I have navy ones from New Look and black from Next- I have to shop from Tall ranges. I’ve had them for a few years now, at the end of the summer I simply dye them with machine Dylon (about £5 from Wilko) and put them away for next summer. They have no signs of wear and were about £15 for the ones from New Look, £20 for the Next. New look don’t seem to have any similar right now but Next have a good selection.

Awesome. id seen those H&M ones then lost them and wasn't sure if they were more heavier casual tracksuit bottom style. They sound perfect.

I kinda had the same problem with uniqlo trying to work out which are a thicker jogging bottoms or a thinner summer weight.

Sorry to be down on the H&M ones, I love them and have bought 4 pairs previously because they are cheap and perfect in the changing room but they all shrunk in the wash even on a 30 degree wool cycle so I've given up and now have hush and next ones, more money but more wears too!

buckeejit · 03/06/2020 19:36

These might be too jogger type but lovely & comfy & cheap!

@buckeejit I saw those today. They are in the 'active' range but thought they looked great. The colour is sort of washed.

notasgreenasiamcabbagelooking · 03/06/2020 21:25

The h and m ones have never shrunk for me and I've not taken care whilst washing them.

buckeejit · 03/06/2020 23:10

They are tencel fabric & lovely but there is also straight thin jersey in a lighter grey

Oly4 · 04/06/2020 21:55

Don’t laugh, I know they are Per Una, but I bought these n black the other day and they’re perfect.
Comfy waist and but tailored style leg in pure cotton. I roll them up at the bottom

@Oly4 those per una are lovely! I think per una suddenly had a huge rebrand a few years ago and became much more stylish. It had become awfully frumpy and dowdy.
