Searching for summer dresses

I’m a bit of an apple shape. Size 10, petite but with boobs and a bit of a mum tum/section overhang.

I just want some easy throw on summer dresses that aren’t midi or maxi length, don’t have an unflattering drawstring/belt in the middle, aren’t oversize tents, I can wear a bra with and aren’t made of sweaty material. Do such things exist anymore?

I used to stick skater dress/ mini into the search function on asos and find the odd thing. But this year nothing. It’s so hard being unable to try stuff on.

If I do get a big order to try on It worries me what is happening to clothes being returned at the moment. Will they be resold?

Anyone else had much luck. I am literally wearing dresses on their last legs at the moment. And it isn’t lack of funds stopping me replenishing.

This any good? m.patra.com/products/DCP/cotton-pique-shift-dress. I'm quite addicted to this site, they make clothes for women rather than girls. They're also natural fibres and great quality for the price. Patterns are a bit boden light but they do plain. I have a skater style dress from them and my husband said it was really sexy (married for 31 years)

I just bought one of these summer dresses but the choice was unreal so I've spent about 5 days deciding Grin hopefully it fits I'll let you know maybe with a pic.

www.tinyvikings.co.uk/ladies/

This site is amazing and very reasonably priced when you consider that she makes everything herself, bespoke (you get to choose your own fabric from a beautiful selection) and, from personal experience, it's top quality and hard wearing.

Only thing is, she's currently closed, catching up on orders - because due to lockdown she has no assistant and 3 kids to homeschool. But she will probably re-open in a few days (you can follow on facebook to find out when) and she's well worth the wait. Once open, she usual gets orders made and posted within a week or so.

Thank you goose but those dresses are a bit too “grown up” for my style. Likewise I have similar issues with boden, I do buy the odd boden bit in the winter such as polo necks, plain jumpers etc but find the summer stuff a bit too “old” on me. It’s a shame as I do like their quality. I did get a nice jumpsuit from them though recently.

As an apple basically it’s the shorter the better for me as have good legs.

Jack and flow I kind of like the look of those dresses if I could find one to work with a bra. Let us know what the quality is like when it arrives.
