I just waxed my eyebrows

And then I did my nose and my god it was the most satisfying thing.

I used to tweeze brows in teens, ignored brows in 20s and have been getting them threaded for the last ten years. Obvs threading isnt possible at mo but couldn't face tweezing.

Got wax off amazon, doesnt need strips, you just peel it off. Super easy. Ridiculously satisfying. Really happy. Didnt want to stop so moved onto my nose hairs.

I've been a bit in denial about my hairy nose Blush I trim obvs hairs occasionally but proper been ignoring them during lockdown. Omg. Waxing my nostrils was awesome. Looking at the hair you've pulled out is like Christmas come early. And I'm ashamed to say the my nose was so bad that waxing them.has genuinely taken a couple of years off my face Blush

And not painful. Eyebrows or nose. Certainly less than tweezers or threading.

Wish we had a before during and after pic!!

Well done! I’d love to have a go but blind as a bat without my specs on so non starter I guess 😃

StealthNinjaMum · 02/06/2020 20:12

Pictures please or it didn’t happen Grin

Bonnie93 · 02/06/2020 20:15

Could you share the link for the wax on Amazon by any chance?
I've just done mine using the strips which was much more difficulty than I had thought Confused your method sounds much simpler!

MiddlesexGirl · 02/06/2020 20:17

Your nose? Are you a bloke? Or 90? Shock

Therabbitandthebear · 02/06/2020 20:21

I’ve waxed my own brows for years, it’s really easy but wow, the nose is another level I don’t think I could manage that.

ifeellikeanidiot · 02/06/2020 20:26

I almost took pictures. I even dyed them beforehand so the change is quite dramatic. Really pleased with eyebrows. I like threading but its always a bit harsh and 'done'. Also they overdo the arch and I prefer my brows straighter.

The nose was just wow. I mean I had no idea how bad it was til.i saw the dozens of dark hairs Blush and now my nostrils are so darn youthful.

@Strawberrycreamsundae I am really blind too. -6.5 plus need bifocal readjustment for close up stuff. I just got very very close to the mirror!

I'll find link.

I'd be a bit worried about waxing nose hair - it's there to filter crap out of the air.

A little trim can be a good idea though!

ifeellikeanidiot · 02/06/2020 20:45

My nose hair was like a dark shadow on the inside edge of my nostrils. Then occasionally there would be a longer hair or two which I'd trim.

There were prob half a dozen visible hairs before I waxed. But when i did it i those longer ones, plus a few other longer ones plus all the ones that must have made up the shadow came out. It's the removal of that shadow that has been mind blowing.

@paniconthestreets85 dont worry - it was just the inner edge that I did. I went in maybe half a cm or so.

This was it. Actually I ordered this one but they delivered the same one but not microwaveable.

I just waxed my eyebrows

Does it not hurt? Under the eyebrow bit?

Therabbitandthebear · 02/06/2020 21:04

Do you think you’ll keep it up yourself now? I reckon I’ve saved thousands over the years.

ifeellikeanidiot · 02/06/2020 21:43

Really didnt hurt. Was expecting much worse. Certainly much better than threading - I think being in control of it myself really helped. It was def better than the one by one pain of tweeting too.

Yes, def keeping this up post lockdown. I was only spending £5 every other month, so not huge saving but not having the hassle of going to get it down will be great.

I sneezed a lot when I did my though

I'm in awe of your nose waxing! A while back I was waiting in the barbers for my husband's hair cut to be done. The guy next to him had his nose waxed and wow did his eyes water 😬

cathyandclare · 03/06/2020 13:53

I use that stuff, it's great. The non-microwaveable one is way better imo.
