For day wear?

It's very comfy, 100% cotton so really nice and cool.

Is it frumpy though?

It's a dress that needs rocking. It's nice ☺️

I think it's ok , but I think there are other dresses that would look better.

I like it in the photo, but I have tried on dresses like that and I always feel frumpy in them. I think it has to do with the high neckline and long sleeves. If you are unsure about the dress, could you lower the neckline and take up the sleeves slightly, and would that make you feel 100% about it? Apart from that, I think the material is lovely and the length is good.

Thanks all.. good to get some perspective. Going to hang onto it as it's nice to wear..comfort is king at my age!

If anyone has any ideas of dresses they have seen they think would suit me better then feel free to post!
