For removing yellow from grey hair (hairdresser said it was a build up of head and shoulders shampoo)

Thank you

Fanola no yellow shampoo. Buy on amazon. It's brilliant.

JoeExoticsEyebrowRing · 31/05/2020 11:09

Yes, I haven't tried it myself yet, but everyone says Fanola is the best.

GoingBackTo505 · 31/05/2020 11:11

The Touch of Silver one- really cheap too. I also like the newer L'Oreal one too.

Girlswithflowers · 31/05/2020 11:12

Fanola no yellow £14 for 1l on Amazon. Does make your hands purple tough so you need to scrub.

cravingthelook · 31/05/2020 11:15

I prefer redken blondage. Love the quality and smell, pricey though

Pureology best blonde is good but I just don't like the smell

I also saw John freida have an intense purple one now too.

If you want a sulfate free shampoo I do like how the ogx lavender one for platinum hair makes my hair feel and smells lovely. It's cheap from supermarkets/pharmacies too.

Wow, thank you everyone

Please don't use the Touch of Silver ones, they're rubbish.
Fudge clean blonde is great, it's £8/9 on amazon!

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 31/05/2020 11:46

Fudge
Fanola
Osmo

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 31/05/2020 11:47

I use Aveda Blue Malva, but I'm allergic to most shampoos so need to use an SLS-free one. I use it once every 5-10 washes and it keeps me nice and silvery.

NotExactlyHappyToHelp · 31/05/2020 12:27

I’m using the bleach London one at the moment. Big bottle for about £7. It’s the best one I’ve found so far but I’m off to oogle at the Fanola people have suggested.

grannycake · 31/05/2020 12:41

I bought the Fanola after seeing it recommended on here - it's great but the smell is a little weird. Huge bottle so will last me the year as I only use a silver shampoo once a week (otherwise I tend to get a lilac tinge in my grey hair)

Leighwalk · 31/05/2020 19:58

Does anyone use the Maria Nila shampoos and conditioners? Saw this brand recommended and just wondered?

BBTHREE76 · 31/05/2020 21:39

I use this and the matching conditioner a couple of times a week, it’s amazing.

Another one for the Fanola - got 1 litre on amazon in January and it's still going!

CompleteBarstool · 31/05/2020 21:46

Can I ask you all a question please .... those of you that use purple shampoo, are you completely grey/white or still at the salt 'n pepper stage?

I'm the latter and wondering if I need to use it as sometimes I think my greys don't look as grey/white as they should

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 31/05/2020 21:48

I use osmo, Bleach London is a good high street one.
My hairdresser and a friend that's a hairdresser both recommend fanola as many other posters.

TigerDroveAgain · 31/05/2020 21:52

I like Lee Stafford, the Ice Cool one. Smells nice and gives a good colour

AGirlHasNoShame · 31/05/2020 22:01

Ugh the Fanola smells horrible!

oiboi · 31/05/2020 22:02

I love Maria nila, I use it daily and it doesn't make my hair as dry as others.

Hedgehog44 · 31/05/2020 22:04

L'Oréal is great. I swear by it. Matrix is good too.

Theyweretheworstoftimes · 31/05/2020 22:06

Catwalk by Tigi.

I have platinum hair and if you leave it on too long I go a lovely shade of lavender

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/06/2020 06:26

Does anyone know if Fanola sells in mainland China? I’m brunette and want to use the blue one.

Pinkywoo · 01/06/2020 06:44

Fanola is supposed to be the best, but the Avon one is a much cheaper alternative and still very dark purple, it smells better too.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 01/06/2020 06:50

Osmo is the most pigmented imo

bonzo77 · 01/06/2020 06:51

Osmo. Much better than touch of silver. I got a 1.5L bottle from amazon a year or so ago for about £13 I think. I’m salt and pepper but much more salt and some areas are completely white.
