Have said I'll buy "something" rather than attend an online party but what do I need? I fancy the ABC face tester kit but at £28 it's a gamble. Anyone recommend anything from there that they love?

I use the ABC skin care and really like it and I also use some of their serums. Their gradual tan is very good as is the instant tan which washes off.

I went to a Tropic party hosted by my boss's wife. I bought a body wash/shower gel but I havent used it, the smell is really off putting and I should have given it back but it's still in my bathroom cupboard 2 years later. I also bought makeup which is okay but nothing I couldnt get from a cheaper brand. Honestly, there wasnt much I'd recommend.

bananamonkey · 30/05/2020 19:03

The cleanser is really nice (the travel skin care set is good if you want to try it but are reluctant to spend £££), I like the make up brushes and the brow stencils too.

Oh good grief. A Facebook friend has become an "Ambassador " and the endless stuff she's posting. Not the same friend I said I'd buy from but oh my word. Makes me not want to get anything. Think I'll try the ABC travel set and see how I go

My sil bought me the macadamia salt scrub which I love and also her skin looks fantastic after switching.

lockdownalli · 31/05/2020 21:33

You can buy anything and not worry about it as there is a no quibble returns policy.

If you don't get on with something you just return it and get your money back. I love the eyebrow powder set which gives me really natural looking brows. I could never get anything remotely realistic using eyebrow pencil but the Tropic product is fab - even for someone as cack handed as me!!

To be honest everything I bought from them has been lovely. Smile

Body butter is amazing. I got some of their stuff for Christmas (SIL is an ambassador Hmm ), body butter was the best. ABC collection was also nice.

Bluewavescrashing · 31/05/2020 21:42

Overpriced for what it is. So many other lovely brands to try at that price point.

Multi level marketing like Tropic is an abhorrent business model. I would steer well clear tbh.

SorrelForbes · 01/06/2020 07:05

I'm quite impressed with some of their products.

Skin feast is a nice daily moisturiser
Smoothing cleanser is really lovely
The Beauty Booster is an excellent tinted moisturiser/light foundation the best I've found!
The tinted facial dream with spf is great
I also like Glow Berry brightening serum.

All my other skin care though is Deciem and Biologique Recherche plus Retin A

Oh God, don’t encourage the seller - they’ll never leave you alone. One of my friends flogs this and the constant Facebook posts do my head in as do the never ending attempts to turn the conversation to it to try to sell me something whenever I see her. It could be the most incredible stuff in the world but I hate being pushed.

willowdeandickson · 01/06/2020 11:26

I've recently started using it and really like it so far. I didn't buy it from an ambassador, just directly from their website. My skin was looking rubbish so I decided to try something new. The Facelift mask has minimised the rapidly developing furrow between my brows.

Tamtam86 · 01/06/2020 14:25

I really like the cleanser, and the super greens facial oil (though I know this one isn't for everyone - it's very "green" smelling! But it works really well for my skin)

polkadotpjs · 01/06/2020 18:27

I haven't got the brochure through her thankfully. Just noticed endless posts on her Facebook. All obviously cut and paste / scheduled did you know stuff. My neighbour just mentioned it and I said I'd have a look as I fancied the skin care

I have normal to dry skin and I absolutely love the salt scrub (fresh lemony scent), the super greens facial oil, and the Tamanu balm is amazing for dry skin patches (much better than Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, it’s a similar product).

polkadotpjs · 01/06/2020 21:23

Is that balm what can be used on scars? Think I've used it. Not the most pleasant smell but helped my head wound to heal well

Is is a dreadful MLM and I generally avoid them like the plague, but I have had the skin food moisturizer in the past and it's alright. I've also bought SLS free shampoo and silicone free conditioner, which again are fine but expensive and I can get similar at a better price elsewhere.
They are completely natural products so if that's your thing and you don't mind paying the extra then go for it, but if you're unlikely to reorder then don't bother as you'll get pestered forever!

Greenvalleymama · 02/06/2020 12:01

Just realized I've confused Tropic with Weleda. The products I mentioned were all Weleda.
I've bought some products from Tropic as a friend sells it but they obviously haven't impressed me as I can't remember what I bought and haven't reordered. I wouldn't bother.
Just to also point out Weleda isn't a MLM, I just have a friend who sells it and have confused the two!

BuntyCollocks · 02/06/2020 19:55

My friend gave me a mini pot of the tamanu (?) balm. I hate MLMs but it was free 😂 anyway, got a massive ingrown cyst thing last night, whacked some of it on thinking it would be a load of old shit - it’s only bloody gone.

Could be coincidence, but I am impressed. I bought the perfecting legs stuff and I’m not impressed with that though. Not much of a colour.
