Best scrub for smooth bum

Can anyone recommend the best scrub to get a smooth bump-free bum?
I've read somewhere to get one that includes salicylic acid for super-smoothness, like L’Oreal Paris Go 360 Degree Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Scrub - Anyone tried this or have other tried and tested recommendations please?

I don't use a scrub, I use a cactus body brush and it leaves my skin beautifully soft, softer than any scrub. You can get two types one to use dry before the shower and the Body Shop have on to use in the shower, they are not expensive, about £10. I had a spotty back and using a brush has made it about 95% better.

I'm a big advocate for cheap exfoliating gloves and your fave shower gel but if you want a true sandpaper effect the best I've ever used is the big blue tub from Clinique, sparkle skin exfoliating cream.

Most scrubs are too gentle and require energetic massage to get any effect. The clinique will give you soft results first time. Don't get it on your bits though, it's got oils in it that sting!

The superdrug vitamin E one is also good. Top tip, switch the shower off as you work. Be prepared to clean the place down afterwards or your DP will want to know why there are ground walnut shells stuck to the ceiling :)

Lush Buffy, followed with cream like E45

I used a body brush every day in the shower for two weeks, then moisturised afterwards. Worked a treat.

Really rough body brush first on dry skin.

Then Clinique sparkle skin (in tub, not tube) or Dove scrub (in tub) on dry skin, then lather up and keep scrubbing.

Bum like a peach (or nectarine 😁).

I find a shower puff or exfoliating gloves with shower gel works perfectly but doesn't leave me with a completely smooth bum so I also use an exfoliating body lotion. Palmer's anti-aging lotion has AHAs and BHAs and is excellent (and currently on offer from Boots!).

Thank you all, I'll get shopping! My poor bum does know what it's in for! Grin

The Dove scrub in a tub (I think it’s kiwi flavoured) is cheap and effective.

Korean Italy cloth after a long soak - I didn't even recognise the bum as being mine it was so peachy smooth Grin

VistaOfFreedom · 30/05/2020 18:55

  • A physical 'tool' such as brush, mitt, etc
  • Salicylic acid body spray (eg. Paula's Choice)
  • Moisturiser
Plump82 · 30/05/2020 21:23

The Korean Italy clothes are magic! I'll never be without now. They are amazing.

Graffitiqueen · 30/05/2020 22:03

Korean Italy cloth.

3LittleMonkeyz · 30/05/2020 22:41

I use a pair of exfoliating gloves and every day whatever I feel like and once a week something with a bit of grittiness but not anything specific. I don't spend more than £1 on a bottle though.

3LittleMonkeyz · 30/05/2020 22:42

Oh and lots of cocoa butter !

LarryUnderwood · 30/05/2020 22:52

Korean Italy cloth. When I use it once or twice a week my skin is peachy. If I don't, it's like a lizard no matter what creams I try.

wizzbangfizz · 31/05/2020 13:25

I want a Korean mitt!

I use the stay ready scrub from pure for men, I use nivea in the white pot to moisturise afterwards.

hammeringinmyhead · 31/05/2020 15:27

I use Sanctuary salt scrub.

Leighwalk · 31/05/2020 17:07

Please can I ask, where do you buy your Korean Italy cloth...are they a specialised cloth or reading, any viscose cloth. Amazon cane up when o googled but I'm not sure that I might end up with a posh duster😉😂

polkadotpjs · 31/05/2020 17:11

I need a cloth now too. Any links? Mines more dough than nectarine!!
