Sunscreen for acne prone skin!

I’m currently using epiduo to treat acne, which makes skin more likely to burn. The only sunscreen that I’ve ever found that doesn’t give me hideous acne is the bare minerals natural sunscreen power, which they’ve discontinued Angry
I tried to rely on the spf in my makeup yesterday and my face felt a little sore in the evening, so I need a proper sunscreen.

The La Roche-Posay Anthelios Sun Protection Face Mist looks good, but the main ingredient is butane, which is a known carcinogen (said to cause skin cancer?). Surely this is what I want to avoid!

My pores are so enlarged that anything sitting on my skin blocks it and gives me spots.

Any recommendations?

I came on to say La Roche-Posay - don't have any other suggestions sorry!

I also was going to say LRP. Recommended by my dermatologist and doesn't break me out. I like the Shaka fluid, maybe the ingredients will be different?

Nyancat · 30/05/2020 09:24

biore watery essence is the only one that doesnt make my skin break out

lojoko · 30/05/2020 09:30

Biore Watery Essence

Jonad · 30/05/2020 11:08

Biore Watery Essence too.

Another vote for Biore UV Aqua Watery Essence, it's incredible. I get it on eBay or Amazon.

I think the butane in the LRP face mist is probably the propellant for the aerosol spray, rather than an ingredient of the spray itself! You could always email La Roche Posay and ask them.

I'm using this. I've been amazed by the lack out outbreaks.

Heliocare as pp mentioned. I haven’t tried the one pictured but I like this one. It’s oil free and non comedogenic.
www.skincity.co.uk/p-4078-360-gel-oil-free-spf-50-50ml.aspx (20% off at skincity this weekend on Heliocare so I’ve just purchased some)
Also available in a colour gel you can wear instead of foundation/tinted moisturiser

I use ultrasun sensitive SPF 30 on my face with no problems. I have oily and spot prone skin

PeeBee16 · 30/05/2020 16:13

Vitage spf is good!

Gammeldragz · 30/05/2020 16:17

Altruistic. I get mine on amazon. 50spf.

Gammeldragz · 30/05/2020 16:17

Altruist. Autocorrect...

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/05/2020 16:40

Ultrasun mineral spf 50. It’s non oily.

If the epiduo doesn’t work go back and ask for further treatment.

Thanks, everyone!
