High waisted running/gym shorts with phone pocket?

As above am looking for high waisted short leggings with a phone pocket. I love my Sweaty Betty sculpting ones but and even though they cost a fortune was willing to get them however they’re out of stock. I’m a small in SB or size 10-12 if that helps.

TIA!

Women's running shorts are rubbish I find. The pockets are too small and then your phone juts into the hip crease. I have a few pairs from LA gear that have a decent pocket. I have a few men's pairs from primary that have build in Lycra shorts and much better pockets.
Personally I think you're better with a decent pair of shorts and a (separate) decent running belt for keys and phone, one that doesn't twist or drop down.

*primark not primary

I found some good ones on amazon the pockets are on the leg and sit comfortably with phone and keys in.

PositiveLife · 29/05/2020 21:13

Another vote for Lucy Locket ones

I like Tikiboo but not to everyone’s taste.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 29/05/2020 21:26

Sorry, I see you want short leggings like crops rather than loose shorts. The ones I've suggested are shorts not leggings/Lycra. Those Lucy locket things are certainly a desired taste aren't they?!

Finding properly functional, nice, wearable and decent Quality running kit is so hard. Especially without trying on and browsing available.

Decathlon trail shorts.

@BabbleBee

Decathlon trail shorts.
Definitely these if you actually want shorts.
Freetodowhatiwant · 29/05/2020 22:13

Sorry I should have been more specific, yes short leggings rather like cycling shorts although I haven’t tried baggier ones to see if they will suit me. I’m 5.5 and a size 12 and worry my thighs are a bit too chubby for the looser ones at the moment.

I haven’t heard of Lucy locket before, great range! I’ve always gone for black shorts but a bright colour top rather than bright patterned shorts but am definitely going to have a browse as they seem a great shape.

What is the sizing like on the decathlon shorts please? They look amazing

AuntieStella · 29/05/2020 22:18

Decathlon are unbeatable VFM

Good fit, good fabric, good pockets and a drawstring

Freetodowhatiwant · 29/05/2020 22:25

Agh I love the shape of those Lucy Locket loves and Tikiboo ones but i think the patterns are a step too far for me. I don't mind an abstract pattern in reasonably subtle colours.

Are these the Decathlon trail shorts?

Maybe I should try some loose ones for a change.

Or these - trail shorts which aren't baggy and have oodles of pockets

These are their basic shorts, which are so good I keep buying them

I do like Decathlon stuff normally so will check those out, thanks!

I actually ordered some basic ones from amazon, just plain black but Guido reviews. Checked in a bright orange under armour vest top to brighten it up.
