Greasy hair

I'm desperate to find a shampoo/ product that stops my hair getting so greasy. For years I've washed my hair about twice a week but over the last year I have to do it every other day. It's just very greasy sometimes even just after washing. I haven't used conditioner for about a year because of this and I've tried a number of shampoo (tgel, head and shoulders,) I use these products because I also had dandruff which has disappeared now. Does anyone have any suggestions or things that have worked for them? I'm 37 so this could be an age thing?

try Taking 2 table spoons of honey with 1 egg yolk and mixing it. leave the mix for 20-30 minutes as it is. Apply this paste on hair and also massage gently on scalp. Keep it for 20-25 minutes on hair and then wash off with good shampoo. Try and do this once a week.
My SIL swears by this x

I use child's farm shampoo for children as I have scalp psoriasis and I seems to not aggravate it plus it's not oily. I also have greasy hair but try to only wash it twice a week and use Batiste dry shampoo in between washes, the coloured ones are better than the original as they don't spray on white

Aussie MAN Keep it Clean gets your hair really clean, Sainsburys sell it. I couldn't say if it stops it from getting greasy though. I have a teen who uses it and I also use it every couple of weeks to remove build up.

I use Batiste dry shampoo and get away with only washing my hair once every 1-2 weeks. I also use Palmers cleansing co-wash instead of shampoo as normal shampoo strips hair too much and causes it to get greasy more quickly.

Ps. If I didn't do this, I'd need to wash my hair every 2-3 days! Over time, my hair has become much healthier being washed less.

Your hair does change as you age it’s true. The best thing is to just wash it as much as it needs because skin likes being clean. Lee Stafford does a scalp massage brush that might help to get the detergent all the way down to the root.

I can always tell a patient who has self neglect because their skins so red & irritated looking.

Try mixing up your shampoo with some bicarb in your hand and use as normal. Also, I find applying shampoo to the scalp and roots whilst dry, and then washing it after 5 mins helps too
