Birkenstock for foot problems

I've seen Birkenstock Arizonas being recommended for plantar fasciitis.

Does anybody have experience of this? I tried them on a while ago and they really hurt. Do they get more comfortable and if so how long does it take to break them in?

No idea about shoes for your sorry, but condition Skechers memory foam and Hotter shoes are built for comfort.

Yes, I have Birkenstocks, both Arizona and Mayari. It doesn’t have to be Arizona, I don’t think, as it’s the footbed used in all Birkenstock sandals that helps with PF. They do take a while to break in and rub your skin initially (you need plasters). I wear them around the house for a couple of weeks before going out in them. But they definitely help a lot.

Blimey my post makes no sense!

Basically what I was trying to say, is that I have no idea about suitable shoes for your condition sorry; I wanted to bump so someone else could help you and they have.

Good luck. As I'm getting older I'm realising that comfort is everything!

I'm wearing mine every day just now. Three months being barefoot in the house has done my feet no favours. I have the big buckle arizonas and they are nice and supportive.

I love Birkenstocks but I believe they caused my awful PF.

It's gone now and I'd love some more but I'm not risking it.

JessicaDay · 05/06/2020 12:41

Soft footbed ones don’t need breaking in.

They really hurt my arches when I tried them on. That's why I was asking for advice.

I like the look but I'm having second thoughts!
