Fake tanned and now black dots where I shaved legs

Never had this before. How can I prevent this?

Is this fresh today? Might come off when you shower in the morning. I've had same but it's not been noticeable after a good shower

I was going to post about this myself. I always get this, it’s so annoying, currently have a lovely pair of dotty legs and that was with a gradual tan, I’m so disappointed as I was hoping to get my legs out this weekend! I’ve tried everything but every summer I get this with any kind of fake tan.

This happened to me this week. It's years since I've used fake tan so couldn't remember what i did wrong. I had a shower and shaved my legs, then moisturised, then put on the tan. Went to bed and washed it off in the morning. I'm wondering if i shouldn't have shaved my legs just before applying the tan.

I would probably shave the day before, 24 hours later I’d exfoliate and then apply tan.

give legs a blast with cold water before applying fake tan: it helps to close the pores and minimises the black dot effect.
