I've been browsing their website on and off and fancy one of the floaty tops.

I don't usually wear floral, paternned, chiffony floaty garments so it would be quite a change for my 'style'. I would have to mix and match with my jeans/shorts somehow.

Has anyone purchased from here? How do they fit? Can you show me pics modelled on bodies? The website doesn't do much of that.

These are the tops I like. top

Thanks Stylish Mnetters

A friend of mine has bought from them. She's a tall woman and I would say average build. I think the clothes from there are very pretty and was contemplating a kimono top myself.

goatley · 28/05/2020 11:05

Thanks Beamur that was a quick reply

I'm tall. Probably average build too. I was worried about looking too bulky but I suppose if they drape well then that won't be the case.

I think we get stuck in a rut - I'm skinny jeans and tshirt - or gym wear but I think I need to venture out of my comfort zone. :)

Morning
I have a dressing gown. It’s my favourite.. drapes beautifully.is super soft and light weight. Long enough
I am 5 11” and a size 10 if that helps

HuckfromScandal · 28/05/2020 11:14

The top you have picked is gorgeous! Go for it

LilyRose88 · 28/05/2020 11:30

Just be warned that the kimono tops are very thin. I ordered one and sent it back because it was so flimsy that I didn't think it was worth the money. I didn't particularly like the print either (Paris map) and I didn't think it draped well because the material was so flimsy.

Others love them, so it might just be a case of my expectations being different from reality.

Cornishmumofone · 28/05/2020 11:45

I love them. I'm 5'5" and tend to pair them with a plain vest and a pair of jeans

QueenOfTheAndals · 28/05/2020 11:52

I bought a Paris dressing gown recently and I love it! If you order from Within Reason and spend more than £50 you get 20% off.

Coniferhedge · 28/05/2020 11:55

I've bought a kimono top (New York map) and a pinafore (red roses). They're both lovely. The kimono top is very roomy, but then it is one size and I'm a 12 on top. They are great for this weather though, when it's too hot for a cardigan but, in my case anyway, I want to hide my ever growing bingo wings! I love mine. I've had lots of comments on it.

ilovecherries · 28/05/2020 12:20

I have a couple - a map one (Paris I think) and a pale blue one with pink roses. Light as a feather, worn them both loads, wash well. Drapey and floaty. I’m a 12 and the one size is fine.

Arriettyborrower · 28/05/2020 12:25

I have a stork kimono and was a bit disappointed with how flimsy it is when I opened it but I wear it loads and have constant compliments. Am actually waiting for a throw over to be delivered today, pricey but I know I’ll wear it loads too, over jeans/vest/shorts etc really versatile.
Definitely buy your top

XingMing · 28/05/2020 13:30

I've got several of the map scarves, and love them. The kimonos are very lightweight, but pretty.

goatley · 28/05/2020 14:22

Thank you for all the replies.

I'm very tempted. It would be nice to have something new to wear when we're allowed to back to the pub..

I love the weight and fabric but the kimono top is very very short on me. I am 5 10 and broad shouldered but since most of my height is in my legs I don't consider myself long bodied.
I wear over a black dress ( London map) but it looks terribly boxy over jeans and vest.

habibihabibi · 28/05/2020 14:49

Also it doesn't have anyway of fastening it so doesnt sit like it does in the pictures online.

Definately suits you better Thinkle .

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 28/05/2020 16:59

I'm 5ft2 and wear a short kimono jacket, Paris print. It looks great over jeans and t-shirts and shorts etc. It's lovely for summer.

Nomorewineever · 28/05/2020 17:05

I’ve got 4 Blush

I’ve got the London map, the stork, the Passion flower Kew one and the strawberry one.

Everyone comments on them.

Jeans or cropped jeans and a vest top, or smarter jeans and a looser cami and jewellery. Have had loads of wear out of them all to be honest. They hide a multitude of sins.

MulberryPeony · 28/05/2020 17:07

@habibihabibi swap for some high waisted wide legs or tuck your vest in. I think there are to many horizontal levels IYSWIM.

I have a kimono top but I’m much shorter so I actually roll the arms up a bit. Also some PJs that are so comfy.

MulberryPeony · 28/05/2020 17:09

@Nomorewineever mine is the blue strawberry. Love the storks and Kew ones too but the map (London) was just the wrong colour on me.

Postmanbear · 28/05/2020 17:23

@habibihabibi thank you for the picture. I have a long body so tops are often short on me so I don’t think a kimono would look right unfortunately.

@QueenOfTheAndals Thanks for the discount link!

Anyone got any real life pictures of the dressing gown? Im very tempted.

HuckfromScandal · 28/05/2020 18:35

@Postmanbear. I will try to remember to take a pic tomorrow

GreyHare · 28/05/2020 18:44

I have many of the kimono's and use them to cover bingo wings I wear with a sleeveless top and jeans/crops mainly, they are fine and floaty and I think they drape well and they aren't that fragile as I wash them in the machine on a 30 and my oldest is now on it's 3rd spring summer and I wear them almost daily from March to October as I'm a sweaty betty.

VivienLeighsHandbag · 28/05/2020 21:40

I have the pagoda kimono and they are thin and floaty, but perfect for summer. I wear mine with a silky cami, jeans and sandals. Get lots of compliments (on Zoom admittedly due to lockdown- not had it long)

goatley · 29/05/2020 09:28

I got an email this morning informing me that certain items are 20% off...

Going to find my credit card... Grin
