Eyebrow help for over 50s

Hello,
Lockdown has made me think a bit. I have a very glamorous friend whose eyebrows always look fab and I've noticed even more on zoom. I want to look more polished (at 56 - about time!) and need a product that's a step up from a cheap eyebrow pencil. My eyebrows are sparse and my colouring is decidedly mousey. In normal times I'd ask in a shop. Said friend has very different colouring from me too so she wouldn't be my best bet. I don't want my thin ugly eyebrows but I don't want huge things on my face. Any recommendations for a pale mouse colouring? Powder, gel, wax??? All too much information for me!

Benefit Gimme Brow is good.

I get Rapid Brow from Amazon. Apply it twice a day, every day and after 6-8 weeks they are much thicker.

You've made me giggle because my sister can't understand why I do my makeup for zoom things. She says no one can see you that well, just do your eyebrows. It's all anyone notices. Pah, I thought. And you've just confirmed it!

I had mine microbladed and I really, really love them. I just the technician carefully and had a lengthy consultation to make sure I would get the right colour and level of 'naturalness'.
Doesn't help right now though. Have you watched any tutorials? Great application of the right makeup can work wonders for brows.

I really recommend having them tinted, the colour picks up every tiny hair and makes them look much thicker. During lockdown I've been doing my own with an Eyelure kit and not sure I'll go back to the salon.
And agree about Gimmebrow over the top.

I am same age and similar colouring to you, used to get my eyebrows tinted but they were either too dark or the right colour but wouldn't last. I now use this.

I just use the lightest of the two powders.

With a brush like this, mine is only a cheap one, and then clear brow gel over the top.

Works every time.

Thank you - Soap& Glory Archery and Benefit Gimme Brow ordered for a start! I'll be watching some you tube tutorials later too.

I think the epiphany was when we were modelling the face masks we'd been sewing. If I'm going to wearing one of those out and about, my brows need some effort put into them!

I'm 57, and my brows are getting sparse with a few greys in too.
I dye mine with Eyelure (really easy) then top up with Benefit Gimme Brow. It's failsafe.

Mine are going grey but not sparse alas - I look a bit like this. Sad
