Are Toms shoes comfy?

That's it really. Are they comfy for walking long distance? I want shoes I can wear with a dress or a skirt.

How far do you mean by long distance?

I wore them for years as day shoes while travelling but I wouldn't go for a hike in them.

Notredamn · 25/05/2020 19:42

They're the most comfortable things you could ever put on your feet.

Neighneigh · 25/05/2020 19:46

I find their classic style don't have enough support / structure to them (I walk slightly in on one side), so while they're amazingly comfy I wouldn't walk a long long way in them. I do love them though!

Btw their slippers are the best I've ever had, lasted 18months of constant wear and they're still going

CatBatCat · 25/05/2020 19:50

I had to put insoles in them because they're totally flat like converse and I need arch support but yes they are comfy.

Reader1984 · 25/05/2020 19:56

Probably the only shoes I've ever sent back. Horrible. The returns process was a joke! Stay clear until you can get to somewhere like Schuh and try them on.

Marsis · 25/05/2020 20:05

I found them fine but they got really smelly Envy

shellby28 · 25/05/2020 20:08

Agree with pp, they are ridiculously comfy as they stretch to mould your feet but they do stink after a while. Pretty much the only shoes I wear qs I have fussy feet but can walk for miles in them Smile

justtb · 25/05/2020 20:11

The slip ons are amazing.. but when worn a lot they lose their tightness.. I have the lace ups and they're a nightmare to get on, think I might've bought them too small 😩
But I used to LOOVVEE my toms

PuntoEBasta · 25/05/2020 20:32

I didn’t find them comfortable, but I have very high arches and can’t wear anything completely flat. If you are ok in ballet flats or Converse type plimsolls then they will be fine.

Jane67996 · 25/05/2020 20:36

Yes they are very comfy. No arch support though.

eyesbiggerthanstomach · 25/05/2020 20:40

I love them and they are comfortable and you could wear them for hours and hours. However they aren't as comfortable as say Nike trainers. I took them on a trip to New York and they couldn't stand the 12 hour days of walking so I bought trainers. They are more comfortable though than converse and flip flops.

I have lots of different types of Toms but the most comfy ones are the ones that have a thicker sole

They are comfortable but they smell after a while. Which is the reason I am not buying them anymore.

damnthatanxiety · 25/05/2020 21:12

I must walk funny or have weird feet. When I walk in Toms, my foot bends more than the shoe so my heel comes out. Then when I step, my heel comes back down and squishes the soft back flat. Same thing happens when I wear espadrilles. Someone help me. I walk wrongConfused

TheHuntingOfTheSarky · 25/05/2020 21:34

I couldn't find any to fit me from either the men or women range. Found them all ridiculously narrow.

2020times · 25/05/2020 21:35

Yeah I found them too narrow to get my feet into too

borntobequiet · 25/05/2020 21:38

They are nice and comfy but they are not walking shoes by any means.
Round the house, in the garden, half a mile to the shop - fine. Any further, wear trainers/walking shoes.

ELM8 · 25/05/2020 21:39

Also find them narrow but they do stretch after a few wears

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 25/05/2020 21:47

Most comfortable shoes I've worn. They rubbed a bit at first but once they moulded to my feet they've been amazing. I prefer them to my slippers. But they are a bit sweaty on a warm day.
