Hush Penelope dress sizing

Hi

I was wondering if anyone can help with the sizing of the penelope dress please? It is on preorder so want to try and get it right. I know Hush are usually big but wanted to check. Thanks

I’ve just ordered mine (from John Lewis which has the pink in stock) so I’m place marking for when it arrives. Based the the reviews I ordered my normal 10. Some of the reviews mentioned the shoulders or bust may be too tight if you size down.

Oh thanks @Thinkle will have a look on JL. Normally would just order a few sizes but don't fancy waiting 10 weeks if it won't fit

I’m a smallish 12 at the moment and ordered an 8 - it fits fine (it was all that was available at the time).

I ordered the 10 and am happy with the fit. I’m a busty 10/12. It’s very long though and I’m going to shorten mine, a bit temporarily until I can get it done properly when everything opens again

Why are their sizes so bonkers? It's very silly.

I have broadish shoulders and smallish boobs and the 10 fits perfectly with the shoulder seam in the right place. Length is just above ankle and I’m 5:6 if I’m not slouching.

Does the dress go in under the bust or just hang straight down from them?

Yes @countrygirl171 I agree with @Thinkle it is like that Zara dress (but not high in the neck) I have another Zara dress from last year and I bought the Hush one because it was so like it and I’d worn it so much. Plus the Hush dress has fabulous pockets. The fabric feels better than the Zara dress though.
