Just ordering myself a box from this outfit:

loststock.co/

No idea when it will arrive but I thought it looked good, ordered one for DH too (in "dark" and "plain", he's a boring sod).

Also living vicariously through this thread.. I'm tempted but it's a big risk (for me). I got a mystery bag through a local shop and it turned out really well, loved all 4 items received so it can work!

I ordered mine a little over four weeks ago. Place marking so I can report back when it arrives!
I’ve just looked back at my order as I’d forgotten... I seem to have lied about my age category, I hope I don’t get a crop top, no one wants to see that!

I've ordered one as well. I'll try and remember to post on here when I get it!

Hmm I'm not sure about this.

This is not a charity. The founders were even on dragons den which tends to attract people who want to make money.

No details on what percentage goes to charity / help factory workers
No details on how much it costs to support a worker and their family for a week
No details on what this "support" entails
No details on the profit they make

The lack of transparency concerns me. Not saying they're not trying to do a good thing, but why not be transparent and accountable.

@Thinkle Ah brilliant thanks! They need to put that on their FAQ page...

Has anyone received a box yet? I've just seen this advertised on the Mumsnet money saver email and am considering ordering a kids box for one or two of my kids, but would love to know it has worked out well for others?

I ordered on 24 May. Said it would take 6-8 weeks.

Got a message recently saying it'll take longer than this.

Not sure I can trust this tbh as it looks all do gooder but I'm starting to get a bit suspicious now! Especially with what a PP said about them being on dragons den.

They mentioned that boxes of clothes had arrived at their warehouse on Facebook today.

This is interesting. I hadn't heard of it 'til this thread. Would be good to see your boxes before I order though Blush

It’s definitely legit - one of the founders is a friend of a friend. The boxes started arriving last week so I don’t think they’ll be too much longer.

@drspouse

They haven't arrived yet ginky

That's suprising.

I mean I know it's a new concept (and there's a pandemic) but that's a looong time.

I don't have a problem with the timing their email explained the situation. I see it as a donation and if I like the clothes it's a bonus.

has anybody received their boxes - if so what do you think ?
was it worth it

Report
Sooverthemill · 16/07/2020 15:53

No one has received any boxes yet. They have recently been dispatched to the uk. It takes 6-8 weeks from date of order . That was really clear from the outset. I viewed it as a charitable donation via a retailer like buying a Hush NHS charity tshirt that also cost £35

I'm pretty annoyed about the whole set up. I ordered two days before the op, and yet I have not received the delivery address confirmation email. This is despite them saying they have processed the first 30,000 orders and yet it doesn't seem to be first come first served. They still have another 40,000 to sort and box up according to their social media.

Report
delilahbucket · 16/07/2020 16:42

I've contacted them as if their Facebook posts are honest, I ordered the same day they had only sold 15,000 and yet I am not within the first 30,000 orders that have been dispatched. I was told 4-6 weeks when I ordered. It is now looking like 14-16 weeks.

Please share what you get! Would love to know. I've looked online and nowhere seems to show what they get
