I'm nearing the end of my Estee Lauder Advanced night repair eye supercharged complex, I dont love it, it's not bad but am open to suggestions for something new, TIA

The Ordinary Caffeine

LochJessMonster · 22/05/2020 20:49

I’ve just started using The Ordinary caffeine solution for my dark puffy under eyes. One week in so no obvious difference yet.

Iron supplements

AppleSighDuh · 22/05/2020 20:58

The Ordinary caffeine burnt the skin around my eyes, making them even darker. I think I prefer a creamy texture, feels more soothing to me
@covidicusrex I've started on Spatone, want something topical also

Mine are dreadful. I am using La Roche Posay (tiny dispenser) but seriously considering an iron supplement.

frugalkitty · 22/05/2020 21:16

The only cream that I've ever been able to see a slight improvement with is the Boots protect and perfect (?) one.

pinklashes98 · 22/05/2020 21:18

I've been using the Elemis pro collagen eye mask, it's really nice and cooling.

Nivea Q10 Power anti-wrinkle + brightener.
I started using this and after about 2 weeks the dark circles had faded so much I could see I had freckles that I never knew existed. The blackness had covered them.

I find that if I forget to put it on the dark circles come back straight away.
I still have circles under my eyes. They have not been eliminated. They are much reduced though.
I buy the cream when it is half price but buy two. Very reasonable.(and I use a cash back site, Quidco)

AppleSighDuh · 23/05/2020 22:21

@willowmelangell thanks, I just ordered this, and it's a fraction of the price of the Estee Lauder, hope I'm onto a winner Grin

A lot of the time they’re genetic and due to the thinness of the skin below the eyes. If it’s thin enough you can see all the blood vessels and it appears like dark circles.

I’ve got this issue and honestly, nothing helps. It’s just the way I look. Makeup wise, I use Bobbi Brown corrector in light bisque and I LOVE it.

willowmelangell · 24/05/2020 19:40

@AppleSighDuh I have my fingers crossed for youGrin. May I suggest something that I wish I had thought to do? Take a photo of before starting to use and then a weekly photo?

theneverendinglaundry · 24/05/2020 19:52

I've always had dark circles, it doesn't seem to matter what product I use (I have tried loads over the years), nothing makes any difference. The thing that works best for me is a bloody good concealer!

I've not heard about iron supplements though.....off to Google!

TheCanterburyWhales · 24/05/2020 20:10

Bobbi Brown corrector and concealer here.
I have quite a few Kiehl's eye creams and they work on hydration and lines but not the dark circles.
Am off to buy Nivea now.

professionalnomad · 26/05/2020 10:15

@theneverendinglaundry

PREACH! Bobbi Brown's concealer and corrector in a rather virulent shade of orangey/peach is the only thing that cancels out my dark circles.
