Non wedding dress for wedding...

I'm 38, a size 10-12, weight sticks around hips and stomach (especially as a result of lockdown ugh) pale skin, dark hair, green eyes, I think my legs and bum are quite good.

Would this be ok for a register office wedding in December? It's just me and my DP so don't want a wedding dress as it seems a bit OTT for the occasion.

I've spent so long slobbing around lately that any clothes that aren't elasticated at the waist seem fancyHmm

Advice very welcome

Like the length of the Boden one - love floor length dresses but think knee length is the way to go. Velvet also really nice, I saw one on Etsy, it was a velvet bodice and heavy satin skirt but it was one of those where you send your measurements off to China and I'm not sure I have enough faith in my measuring or that particular company!

The one you originally posted is lovely! Very elegant - I agree with PP a cream jacket over it would look nice

Well I've ordered it - it's in the sale for £50 so I've got nothing to lose!

Great.. I think it will be lovely.

I think you should get a more figure hugging fitting than shown in the pic. The model looks like she's wearing a size too big.

Yay! Where's it from OP?

TheGoodDinosaur · 22/05/2020 23:59

It's from Yumi

I suspect it will be more figure hugging on me than the model GrinWink
