Faceworks Face Exercise App

I've toyed with various face exercise regimes but never stuck to any of them.

I found the book on Amazon and thought the exercises are doable and saw an they do an App with videos which talks you through every exercise and every repetition. This has been the clincher for me, having a voice telling me what to do.

I have been doing this for a couple of months now and I'm really seeing the difference.

I was looking tired, and haggard, it kind of crept up on me, lips thinning, down turned mouth, eyes full no matter how much sleep I had but now I look like a much younger, fresher me.

They do take time and commitment, 5 days a week, you can't expect overnight results in the same way any exercise regime takes time.

But then I have 50 years in this face so I have been prepared to put the work in.Grin

This sounds really interesting, OP. I'm glad it's working for you. How much time do you spend on it each day?

Feelingdeprived · 22/05/2020 19:55

I’ve just downloaded it and done it. Face is aching! There’s 12 exercises and each takes just under 3 minutes so just over 30 mins in total.

Sounds good what is it please? i have tried a few and got kindle books off Amazon, but might have missed this one
Does it help jowls? my problem

Rocaille · 22/05/2020 22:13

Thanks, Feelingdeprived. I'm not sure I have the self-discipline to do 30 minutes x 5 times a week: I'm lazy!

Feelingdeprived · 22/05/2020 22:47

@princessTiasmum see the title - I just googled it and downloaded the app for £7.

@Rocaille - I know! But now I’m working from home I’ve a bit more free time as not commuting!

The first few days it takes a while, maybe 25 mins but now I know them it is more like 15/20. It is very important to give them all you've got, a proper focus, not go through the motions.

Some of them are tricky and I admit I skipped them but the book says the upper muscles need to life to get the lower ones to lift too so I had to master them, and it was like anything,, you practice , you master. I am seeing more definition in the jowls. Reading the book did help understand the muscles and the focus.

You don't have to do them all in one session, which also makes it manageable. Also, if you want to accelerate, you can do two sessions a day, leaving six hours between each.

Hope this helps! I just wanted to share what I'm seeing in the mirror now.

There is also a website faceexerciseguru.com with some silly prices on it when you can get the App, I really don't understand that, maybe it is for the US market?

By the way, the woman who has devised this, Elaine Bartlett is British and the videos and instructions are British speaking, not American.
