Oh my goodness that Tiny Vikings website is amazing! Just ordered t-shirts for me and dd!

Stickyjack · 24/05/2020 15:26

Lily and me have some lovely ones

DobbyTheHouseElk · 24/05/2020 15:28

I got one from next, it has massive unexpected pockets.

Mesmeri · 25/05/2020 15:22

54VenusClapTrap yeah Tiny Vikings is amazing! And Anna does pretty much everything herself and is extremely friendly and up for personalizing sizes/doing specific things where possible, when asked (eg, she once made a child's dress in an adult size, and another time dungarees with a denim seat when ds3 was a bum shuffler).

Orchidflower1 · 25/05/2020 15:25

@DobbyTheHouseElk would it be possible for you to link your next dress please?

Thanks to all the other posters too. I love the hush ones but like a op said they’d look like a nightie. I’m too short and dumpy.

CountFosco · 25/05/2020 16:53

Most Hush dresses don't have pockets.

Best bets for the combinations of covering shoulder and having pockets (and being cotton, another thing Hush is rubbish at) are COS, Boden, and Community Clothing.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 25/05/2020 17:00

@Orchidflower1 I’m useless at links.

It’s £22 and this is the code. Next.

338-649

I’m 5’5” and it comes to under my knees. It’s very flattering. I’ve got it in navy stripe.

Orchidflower1 · 25/05/2020 18:14

Ooh lovely thank you Dobby.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 25/05/2020 18:44

Sorry I can’t do the links, but hope you found it. It’s lovely. T shirt material, but floaty. I really like it. Some drawstring waists come too high and make me look too fat. But this was a lower waist. Wish they had other colour ways. It’s fab.

Orchidflower1 · 25/05/2020 22:39

@DobbyTheHouseElk thank you. I’ve found it. It’s lovely. I like the blue stripe and the black. I’ve added it to “ favourites” on my next account to wait until payday later in the week.

BikeRunSki · 25/05/2020 23:25

I think this is the dress that Dobby means

DobbyTheHouseElk · 26/05/2020 07:41

Thank you. I must learn how do get the links.

My dress is navy and white stripe. It’s nicer on than in the picture. Well I think so.

Pluckedpencil · 26/05/2020 08:22

Wow. Popsy and Tiny Vikings are very much up my street! I can't believe the price of the Tiny Vikings dress when you think that these are essentially made to order in the material you want! I like how on the Popsy site they show real women wearing the dresses. Very helpful.

CoatTails · 26/05/2020 08:47

@KatharinaRosalie
Just bought a jumpsuit from eshakti!

Winecheesesleep · 26/05/2020 09:54

Mountain Warehouse do a little range of summer dresses with sleeves and pockets like this one:

professionalnomad · 26/05/2020 10:02

I bought this one and it is gorgeous. Light, flowy and it has great pockets!

Although my husband says I look like I'm wearing something you might give an inmate of a mental asylum - I take this as a compliment

Orchidflower1 · 26/05/2020 16:50

@professionalnomad I like it, particularly the grey one but does it not crease to buggery as it’s linen?

Laundrywoman · 26/05/2020 18:07

I followed the monsoon link and bought a dress and blouse....and had a problem with the Paypal transaction saying 'payment not authorised,' so
tried again, same pop up.
So tried a credit card - 3 times in all and same thing.
Now I've found that all the payments went through ok...so 5 transactions have been authorised in total. Nightmare.

Laundrywoman · 26/05/2020 18:09

Apologies op for interrupting flow of thread.

VenusClapTrap · 26/05/2020 18:27

Oh no, Laundrywoman! What a pain. I hope you can get the excess orders cancelled without too much faff.

AmethystMoonShine · 26/05/2020 18:46

Toast are good for pockets and decent sleeves and generally very good quality, best wait for sales though unless you’re flush!

VenusClapTrap · 27/05/2020 08:13

I spotted this on Wolf & Badger. It’s a bit pricey, but I’m tempted. Lovely colour.
