Cotton bra

Any recommendations for 100% cotton bras in this heat? Or as close to 100% to allow for the straps, I’d imagine. Non wired is fine.
Thank you!

Royce. Their sizing is old fashioned though so you do have to measure your rib cage and add on 4 or 5”. The measurement calculator on their website seems accurate but the size will likely come up vastly different to your usual size. They’re all non wired and only some styles are cotton.

Blahblahblahyadayadayada · 21/05/2020 20:53

I saw their teen bras are all cotton. I’m Not after anything fancy and don’t need too much support so suspect they’d be ok?
Thanks for the heads up about sizes- haven’t added 5 to the measurement in years!

I just bought a two pack from Bon Prix for £15, they’re non-wired and cotton, nice and comfy

I’m a Boob or Bust 38Fand ordered a 40DD which fits well, as they didn’t have bigger cups sizes, but as it’s so soft it doesn’t matter really. Just a bit of support without the discomfort of wires and man-made fabric in this heat! Arrived quickly too.

I also ordered a double pack of bandeaus too but they were mega tight so definitely go a size up on them.

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 21/05/2020 21:00

these be them

LoisSangerAteMyHamster · 21/05/2020 21:31

I think it depends on your cup size Blah but I do like the Royce ones. My daughter is a 28B to C in most other bras but Royce 32AA fit her.
What sort of size are you after because if you’re tiny then looking at the teen sizes might be good. Asda teen bras are amazing. The age 13 -14 is about a 32” back and B cup. I’m a 30 back and I tried them and they were too big but so well made.

Oldraver · 22/05/2020 07:04

I bought some from Sainsbury's reasonable price and comfy cotton, though not big cup sizing

I probably wouldn't wear them under a t-shirt but great when you want to stop them from bouncing

StarlightLady · 22/05/2020 07:26

I can’t imagine any cotton bra offering enough support. Most bras are made of other fabrics for a reason.

LoisSangerAteMyHamster · 22/05/2020 08:36

Molke are cotton but are quite thick so may be too hot.

Bagelsandbrie · 22/05/2020 08:40

Molke are lovely but made of many layers of cotton, there’s no way I could wear one in the summer.

I’d love a cotton bra too, watching with interest!!

Blahblahblahyadayadayada · 22/05/2020 21:04

I see what you mean, StarlightLady, but it just gets too hot and now I’m getting very uncomfortable, especially as I suffer with hives. Not too much support needed, as not very busty!
The Asda ones look great but I’m an adult that won’t fit a 13-14 year old size.

The Royce ones look ok even if they size the old fashioned way. I’m sure it used to be easier to get cotton bras!

My dd has some from Matalan. They aren’t wired and come in dress sizes rather than bra sizes.

I think these are the one’s although hers are white.

LoisSangerAteMyHamster · 22/05/2020 21:13

I’m an adult and can’t wear Asda 13-14 clothes, they don’t even fit my 12 year old but those bras are big round the back, too big for both of us.
Would a cotton crop top work? Next do good kids ones and their age 16 is a size 12.

Non panda breasts are available...
I just Googled “next racer bra” and mistyped it as “next raver bra”, that was exiting.
Boden crop top bra things are lovely too but WHY can’t adults get cotton bras? M&S used to do them and maybe BHs?

TiggeryBear · 22/05/2020 21:16

I've bought some Oddballs bralettes I wear a 34F & the medium fit really well.

BambooWhoosh · 22/05/2020 21:24

I bought this one from Sainsbury's to try. I love it but it's now out of stock in my size Sad They do other cotton non wired ones too (also out of stock in my size sadly.

Sainsburys

I'm going to try some of the pp suggestions.

Oldraver · 22/05/2020 21:50

Yes they are the Sainsburys ones I have. They dont give you a fanatstic shape but preserve the publics modesty

Blahblahblahyadayadayada · 24/05/2020 20:30

Lois, I was sure M&S used to make them too.
I got rid of all but 1 of my maternity crop too bras....stupid decluttering!

LoisSangerAteMyHamster · 24/05/2020 22:51

I’ve done that so many times. I should learn.

Quality but expensive.
