Split ender device for hair trims

Has anyone tried the split ender for trimming their hair?

The ends of my hair are starting to feel frazzled now but I’m too scared to cut it with scissors. Wondering if this device might be a better option?

I’ve seen some mixed reviews online - some say it’s not sharp enough

I just twist my hair into sections. You can see your split ends and just trim them off. Takes ages but better than cutting your hair.

I wanted to buy one too but again I saw mixed reviews. I don’t think it’s bad if it’s cutting your hair as it will cut the split ends too. The price is putting me off from buying one.

Yes, it’s the price that is putting me off as well. If it was 50£ I’d try it out.

I have seen some YouTube videos showing how to cut hair (the one by brad mondo looks promising) so I might just try that. Could be a disaster....

I think the split ender is not that sharp. I would spend the money on some sharp hairdressing scissors instead.

You can cut off split ends yourself with your fingers, take a strand of hair and wrap it around the middle finger of your non dominant hand using your ring and index fingers to secure the strand of hair and guide it through. Make sure the hair is near the tips of your fingers (not near where your fingers meet your hand). As you move your fingers down the strand, the split ends will pop out between your middle and index fingers and you can snip them off. Make sure you angle your hand so you don't cut your knuckle. I'm making it sound harder than it is; there are probably YouTube videos that show what I'm talking about.
