Are they all that? Dawn o porter keeps tempting me....

If not then what else? I just want eyeshadow that looks nice and stays on!

I have 3 Blush
My favourite is the Honey one.

Ninkanink · 18/05/2020 20:34

I have...uhm...at least 5, but might be more.

Richlyfruited · 18/05/2020 20:34

I've got a couple of Naked palettes which I like but actually reach more for my Revolution ones day to day. I don't notice much difference in staying power!

Lidlfix · 18/05/2020 20:42

I just shocked myself and counted 7 . DD4 and I used to have some bonding time at launch events. I do rate them and fall back on the "look" from the free lesson the sales assistant would do for me as part of the launch package.

melodien · 18/05/2020 20:53

I have the naked 3 palette which is ok. I struggle with the newer palettes as they seem to be mainly warm colours that don't suit me. I have a mac one which I prefer only because the colours are better for me.

YouStupidBoy · 18/05/2020 20:54

I have one that I got for Christmas; the Naked Cherry one. It is very versatile and much more wearable than you would think with the shades (I have olive - ish skin, dark hair and hazel eyes - a gold toned central ring with green main colour although they can look anything from dark brown to quite green depending on light - if that helps at all).

nevernotstruggling · 18/05/2020 21:14

So worth it then Grin

I have all the naked ones. I like them, they’re very versatile and (with urban decay primer) they really stay on all day, even with my oily skin.
However, I’ve recently fallen in love with Anastasia Beverley Hills palettes and it’s a dangerous hobby Grin. I’ve already got three and I think I prefer them to Naked.

MehMehMeow · 18/05/2020 21:39

I don’t like the Naked palettes at all. I don’t get much colour payoff and gave away the two palettes I had. I prefer Anastasia palettes - soft, easily blendable, and the colours last really well.

VideographybyLouBloom · 18/05/2020 21:42

I love them. I’ve got loads from nudes to bright colours.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 18/05/2020 23:42

Id say they're okay, but I wouldn't say they were good. I much prefer my cheaper one which cost me £5.00. Not just because it's cheap, but There's far more choice of colors. They have a mixture of matt and shiny/sparkly. It stays in place more so than urban Decay. Very pigmented, too.

ShitUsername · 18/05/2020 23:53

Love UD palettes but recently got this set from ABH on a deal and it’s fab. The palettes are usually around £40-50 each

Honestly I think they’re outdated. They used to be all the rage in what, 2012?

Personally I prefer Huda Beauty, their colour stories are just better. I find myself using more shades in their palettes and generally enjoy them more.

I have UD Naked 1,2 3, Heat and a basics palette. I only reach for 3 and even then it’s just the 2 shades I use. The rest are just collecting dust.

Ninkanink · 19/05/2020 09:19

I’ve got loads of other palettes, some of which I like a lot more than UD. Doesn’t mean that UD isn’t any good, or not worth getting.

It really doesn’t matter whether it’s ‘outdated’ or not if all you want is a palette that works. Not everyone approaches make up like some trend-driven race to be ’current’, some people just want a palette.

Dinnertime22 · 19/05/2020 10:48

I purchased one recently. The colours were fine. However, I prefer Mac and Clinique for staying power to be honest.

RedCouch · 19/05/2020 10:52

I have a serious addiction, think I have about 15 palettes I've collected over the years! They're fantastic and stay on well especially if you use them with the urban decay primer

Deathraystare · 19/05/2020 13:45

I used to have some really old pallettes, long before the Nakeds. I liked them but they were quite glittery which would not suit now. I don't like the nakeds. They are too warm for me and I am fed up of golden brown and coppery shades. I have warm colouring but I do net like these colours.

professionalnomad · 19/05/2020 13:51

I have the Born to Run palette and I am in love with it

Mnthrowaway20202 · 19/05/2020 14:15

@Ninkanink

Not everyone approaches make up like some trend-driven race to be ’current

Congrats on misunderstanding. To the contrary I think that Naked palettes are trend driven purchases as they are no longer great products. UD has a quantity/aesthetics over quality thing going on.

Their palettes are generally outdated because better options have since been released on the market by competitors and UD haven’t kept up. The industry is extremely saturated at this point so I feel that there’s no point buying mediocre items. But I perhaps I just have higher standards than you.

The makeup industry, just like any other, has progressed since 2012. If you enjoy palettes that lacks cohesion between shades; with useless filler shades; that look muddy when blending a look together; with chalky/sheer shades that are fallout prone, good for you.

Ninkanink · 19/05/2020 14:18

I hardly wear make up these days, tbf, so I suppose it just isn’t all that relevant to me anymore. It’s a fun thing to collect and I do enjoy using it here and there, but it’s very much fallen by the wayside in my day-to-day life. So I’m sure you’re correct that your requirements are more clearly defined, and your standards far more discerning,

ClientQ · 19/05/2020 20:53

For staying on you need an eye primer, most eyeshadows will have decent lasting power after that
I don't rate UD. I used to like them but then I found ABH, makeup geek, viseart... I am picky though and use a lot of makeup!
