Alternatives to salon waxing during lockdown

What is everyone doing that normally has waxes at the salon. I’m ok to home wax my legs but no way brave enough to attempt a Hollywood. Shaving seems to give bikini area bad rash so any advice gratefully received especially as by the looks of it salons won’t be open for at least another 2 months

Being hairy? Sorry, not much use I know - I'm looking forward to the salons being open again!

I would not recommend an epilator, I get legs, Hollywood and armpits done every 5 weeks without flinching. I’ve epilated half a leg and can safely say it won’t be out the box again.

I can’t give myself a bikini wax either!

I’m just using hair removal cream until I’m able to visit a salon. Easiest and least painful option provided you don’t leave it on for too long

For creams try Veet sensitive, but do the spot test first, even if you have used it on other areas of the body.

Shaving: Try using a new blade, sit on loo and use hair conditioner with water, the razor then glides and, for me anyway, no itching or spots if done very regularly. I do this most days and go for the Veet plus razor option (remove the cream with the razor) once a week. Result all very good and smooth.

This works well for me, but my sister tried the Veet sensitive trick (you would assume there would be some reaction similarities) and is still running round the block with a flame coming out of her crotch! Grin
