Acnecide

I've just started using this due to acne that I've had for the last year, which I'm just about fed up of.

I'm still not quite sure which way round to do things though. After I've washed my face, do I pit on Acnecide first, followed by moisturiser, or the other way round. Also, I'm only using it once per day (at night), so is it ok to wash my face in the morning, or am I basically just eliminating any progress by doing this?

You put it on and then wait at least 15-20 mins before putting moisturiser. You need to wait as the benzoyl peroxide in it needs to work on your skin. Then you put moisturiser on top as it can dry out your skin. Yes you should wash your face in the morning. Benzoyl peroxide tends to be only used in the evening. I’ve used acnecide but I’m sure it says you can use it twice a day. I would stick to just the evening as acnecide has 5% benzoyl peroxide which is quite strong.

There another cream called epiduo which is also good but you’ll need to get the doctor to prescribe it to you. That also has benzoyl peroxide in it.

I only use it at night without a moisturiser - greasy skin but I still use eye and neck cream. In the day I wear a moisturiser and sunscreen.
