Help! Facial tanner for sensitive skin

flowersandpetals123 · 15/05/2020 20:26

Bought dove gradual tanner and used it on my face
First two times were ok (when put on in the morning) but I just put it on after using my normal cleanser (micellar water) and
oh my god
My face went bright red and it was so sore

So I'm too bloody scared to use it..
But should I try again in the morning??
Or any recommendations for a facial tanner for sensitive skin
Or just give up?

I just want to b a bronzed goddess but without premature ageing
Is that too much to ask?!?!?!?!?

Skinny tan do a lovely overnight face treatment one. It's very light so you need a couple of nights to build up to bronze goddess!

I feel you're pain Shock I too am allergic , I can slather it all over my body but on my face brings out itchy hives . I've found the St Tropez one you spritz on your face has been ok with no reactions .

flowersandpetals123 · 15/05/2020 21:52

Ahh Thankyou
It's so annoying!!! My plan was to naturally tan my body and then fake tan my face to match

So now I have a slightly browner body and the same pale face
Brilliant!

I did see the st tropez face mist mentioned when I googled it so may give that a try!!!
Where do you get it from? Amazon? X

Yeah amazon . I use it every other day .

Surely you don’t just use micellar water as your cleanser? After a whole day you just wipe your face with the micellar water and that’s it? You don’t actually wash your face??

Perhaps the dove tan doesn’t mix well with the micellar water ingredients that’s still on your face? Maybe if you do just use micellar water and that’s it, then your face still isn’t clean and so your pores are just clogging up when you slap a load of dove tan on top of unclean skin?

Try the facial tanning oils from Superdrug. There’s plenty to choose from

But cleansing your face properly is the first step to getting a decent summer glow!

Love- eeek yeah just use the water
Thought it was a cleanser
Oops

Well I thought it was a step up from the baby wipe I've been using for years

What can I use to wash my face?

Ok have read a few threads on here and lots of people recommend the Superdrug hot cloth cleanser
So I'm going to order some to try :)

Superdrug got cloth cleanser is really good.
What about the tanning drops you mix with your usual moisturiser? Maybe less chance of a reaction? I use the clarinets ones bit there are loads of other available that get good reviews.

*hot
*clarins

Sorry I seem to have lost the ability to type this morning!
