I'm looking to treat myself to some decent makeup. Have always bought mainly cheaper items and if they are good that's fine but my skins changed I feel in need of an overhaul.

I'm nearly 42, dark hair and eyes with paleish skin.
Skin is mainly dry, especially around nose and mouth but can get oily on forehead. I have quite large pores which make up always seems to highlight lately.
Just starting to get lines under my eyes and I have a few thread veins on my nose.

I tend to favour the less is more option lately as anything heavy like long lasting foundations really feel too much and I can't wait to wash them off.

Someone recommended trying a CC cream, particularly the Clinique one but I've no idea if they are good or not. Has anyone used it ?

I'd also like a decent but not heavy concealer.

A decent moisturiser wouldn't go a miss either. I currently use Simple but it's not helping the dry skin at all really.

TIA and I'll take a look on my lunch break Smile

I have dry skin too on my face and for that reason I don’t use make up often as it dries me out too much. I love the Nuxe oil from M&S. It’s excellent for dry skin. I do like a cream powder for minimal make up and the Chanel Le Teint foundation is excellent for dry skin. It’s very light. Guerlain do a similar one. They glide on like a powder. Then add a bit of blusher if needed. These products are not cheap but I’ve found them excellent. I also like night creams from Liz Earle.

I've just moved from the Clinique CC to the IT cosmetics one. £10 on eBay and my skin looks amazing!

Thanks rockthrills, I'll take a look at that one

I have dry and quite sensitive skin and I love Nars to Ted moisturiser. Also nuxe rieve de meil moisturiser. I have probably spelt that completely wrong.
