What facial oil?

What’s the best moisturising facial oil that I can use at night before bed? I currently use The Ordinary Rose hip oil but I’m not sure if i like it or not.
I don’t want to use anything that’s going to make my skin worse - it isn’t great as it is. I get hormonal breakouts every month, I have a few red acne scars in places (which I want to try & fade), slightly uneven skin tone & large pores in areas.

Thanks

I wouldn’t use oil if acne is your issue, tbh, though squalene is often recommended as a lightweight option for acne prone skin.

What’s the rest of your routine? Do you use acids? Lactic is gentle on skin and effective at resurfacing, good for scarring and skin tone. Use good quality spf every day, min spf30, face, neck, chest & back of hands.

Retinol products are good for uneven skin tone but you need to stick with them, it’s a long game and you can get some peeling with them (you’ll need to moisturise quite intensively with them - I like the La Roche Posay B5 balm). It is also an acne treatment in certain formulations (tretinoin) but you’ll need a prescription for it in the UK. I think you can buy it from overseas sites but it isn’t strictly legal as it is a prescription only medicine in the uk.
