I’ve just seen on Instagram that the hourglass website has 20% off everything so what do I need?!!
Never used the brand before but I’ve read good things, I like the look of one of the eyeshadow palettes so far but I’m open to suggestions.

The Ambient powders and blushers are AMAZING. I am not an eyeshadow person, but really didn’t like mascara I tried. I also like their liquid lipstick in Raven, which is a lovely orange red.

Unfortunately all the things I wanted to get were sold out 😒. Bronzers, blushers and powder amazing, love their eyebrow pencils and the liner is the best I have ever used for tightlining.

My favourite product are the ambient light powders.

The best imho is the 6 pan pallet but unfortunately it's sold out as are most of the singles.

I also love their caution mascara - best I've ever used.

The lip oil is lovely - especially the red one (don't be scared it just gives a lovely veil of colour).

Tbh looking at the site most of the best products aren't available so I'm giving the sale a miss....

I was looking at the site and I know I’ve heard it mentioned loads on here but I can’t remember what everyone had said! Is it the ambient light powder that’s amazing? What are the colours like does anyone know?
There’s loads out of stock but the offer is on till the 17th I think so I’ll keep checking.

Hi OP. I bought a lot when it was recommended in here. Tbh I don't think it's amazing but I have olive skin and the powders don't do anything for me. I really liked the lipstick I bought but it cracked in half as it's so thin. Definitely not worth the money in my opinion.

DeRigueurMortis · 13/05/2020 23:19

Yes the ambient powders are their best product imho.

The shade obviously depends on skin tone - not so much colour as they are fairly translucent but rather warm/cool.

My favourites are dim light and diffused light.

The strobe powders are also very good and there is a 3 pan palate in stock.

People think of them as highlighters and they are - but just more subtle (and forgiving re: application) but I find you can use them (sparingly) all over the face time give "glow"
and also use as eyeshadows.

Thanks everyone, I think I’m going to go for the eyeshadow palette in vista earth tones and the ambient powder in luminous light if it comes back in stock. I’ve got auburn hair and quite fair skinned but on the warmer side.
I’m tempted to try the foundation as well......🤔

The foundation is good as it the concealer.

I didn't find it earth shatteringly good though for the price - it's very like the Bobbi Brown stick foundation (but more ££).

Both very buildable so you go from a light to full coverage and easy to target the areas on your face where you want more cover.

I like stick foundations though - less messy and I think easier to apply than liquid/cream plus more compact/better to pop in a make up bag if you want to do touch ups.

Their foundation brush is very good but personally I prefer the Charlotte Tilbury foundation brush which is a similar shape/density but is double ended (large and small brush) so great for foundation and then flipping over to do concealer.

In case anyone else in interested the ambient ghost palette is in the selfridges sale at the moment for 52.5 with free delivery.
