Non-skinny jeans!

Hi - really hoping you stylish Mumsnetters can help me! I live in skinny jeans but have been searching for a loser fitting pair for ages with no luck. Mom jeans don't suit me so have been looking at girlfriend or boyfriend but none that I tried before lockdown worked on me. I recently ordered the straight leg jeans from Hush but they are only a tiny bit loser fitting than my faithful skinnies so will be going back. I'm tall (5"10) and a size 8-10 and just can't work out why all the loser fitting styles still look fitted on me? Any recommendations for styles worth trying?

I’m a 10 in shops like whistles and Boden and a M in Uniqlo and I have a defined waste and hips but not extreme . Mine are 27 waste and I wear them turned up because I’m 5’6 but love how they look turned up.

Have you considered barrel leg or tapered? I’ve just bought these from Mint Velvet, they’re super flattering. I’m a 10-12 and the 10 fits perfectly so I think they run big.

I bought some wide leg cropped jeans before lockdown, just from M&S. I want sure if I would wear them but have lived in them in lockdown and have got used to myself in them. Ridiculously comfortable.

This is them they only have a size 6 left but I had to size down and the size down isn’t tight.

The other thing I have seen in Instagram is buying girl/boyfriend jeans one to two sizes too large and using a belt.

Have you tried Weekday? They have a variety of styles. I'm size 8 but a bit shorter than you. I've recently bought the the Rowe which are high waisted and straight leg and a bit long for me, and the Lash which are also straight leg but narrower. Love them both! Most styles have different leg lengths. By the way, I got EU size 36 in both.

Thanks everyone! I've not tried Weekday jeans Elel and the Rush ones look like the sort of thing I'm after - do they work rolled up?

@SingingGoldfinch, do you mean Rowe? I think the hems are a bit thick to roll up more than once without being too bulky. I'm 5 ft 4 1/2 inches and got the 27/30. The 27/28 might have been better with trainers.

Sorry - yes, I meant Rowe! I do really want some I can roll up. I might just give them a try though.
