Too Faced Foundation

Has anyone tried the peach perfect or born this way foundations?

I’m fed up with my usual double wear and want to move to a cruelty free brand. The reviews online are good but I’m always wary of them being paid for.

hI I use the born this way foundation and I love it!.
I have quite an oily skin and it wears well for nearly 12 hours if I use my ysl blur primer underneath and apply with a slightly damp sponge and a light dusting of mattifying powder hope that helps.
For reference in MAC I'm a nc25 and ivory is a perfect match for too faced there quite yellow toned.

That’s interesting. I ordered the BTW and tried it but sent it back after it slid off my face after 30 mins. I realised afterwards that it’s water-based and I had used a silicone primer though so have been considering trying it again. But the YSL blur primer is silicone so now I don’t know Confused

The staying power of PP looks impressive but I tend to steer clear of matte foundations as I have dry skin.

I’m also on a quest for a new foundation so will be watching this thread Smile

I have recently (2 weeks ago) bought BTW and am really impressed. It is great colour and coverage for me (I have Vanilla). It does however need good primer and a powder to set it. I'm still experimenting with it but so far the best combo seems to be Bioderma sebium (a mattifying moisturiser), then Nars primer. My hourglass powder looks muddy on top though, MAC mineralise better but still NQR

I should add the colour, coverage and satin finish make it worth persisting for me to make it stay put.

Having just looked at Peach Perfect, I think I may need a sample of this though. Maybe I'll mix and match.

Froq · 13/05/2020 13:57

@Elllllle is your Nars primer water-based?

I’m wondering if BTW just didn’t like my face.

From what I’ve read online, PP and BTW don’t mix well as one is silicone and the other is water-based. I might give the PP a try and use a heavy moisturiser.

I hate having to work hard to make a foundation look good though. I recently bought the hourglass stick and that needs a lot of prep to make it look good so I find myself avoiding it.

Sorry Froq the best was actually Becca backlight primer not Nars. I believe no silicones in it...?

Thank you Elllllle, that makes sense. I think I’ll give BTW another go.
