Can anyone help me with The Ordinary products how to use?

Hi i have bought a few products (already have facial wash and scrubs and masks but very poor routine and don't use things right)

I have open pores and some acne. Starting to age. Aged early 40s

I have the
salicylic acid serum
Niacinamide
Glycolic acid and zinc moisturiser

I want to start using them and also but the retinol (I know to start very low and sparingly)

But I am at a loss do I apply the glycolic after cleansing and then the salycilic serum and then moisturize??

Please help FlowersConfused

Watching this with interest OP. I really want to get some of these things but not a clue where to start. Similar skin to yourself, lots of large pores and loads of blocked ones too. Tired skin starting to look it's age (37)

They have suggested regimes on their website. You can’t just combine random products, could make things worse.

I didn't check out the website (why didn't I think of it?) I was reading the back of the tubes. Will so that now. Thank You

The website is good. I follow an anti ageing routine that I based on the routine given by the skincare thread on here.
It's really improving my skin. A lot of products are from the ordinary I chose. Even dh mentioned my skin looking good the other day and for him to notice it must be improved!

So good to get a routine that works. Great to hear.

What I tend to do I send them an email via the website listing the Ordinary products I have. They reply suggesting what to use when. Easy peasy and bespoke.

Littleshortcake · 12/05/2020 19:14

Thanks User... I sent them a scary photo of my face earlier. I think they will get the message very easily as to what is wrong with my skin Grin

What is going on with TO. Everything is out of stock everywhere

BeNiceToYourSister · 12/05/2020 20:54

Lots in stock at Selfridges, damn - just ordered some recently (free delivery atm too!)

TheCanterburyWhales · 13/05/2020 09:09

Salicylic is generally for oily, glycolic for ageing and mature.
Whatever you use though, you use serums before moisturiser.
If your favourite TO products are out of stock, then Garden of Wisdom (Victoria Health) are virtually identical.

Littleshortcake · 13/05/2020 11:32

That's so helpful thank you. I will start today. Maybe cleanse as normal then use glycolic toner (this is in the evening) salycilic serum and then a moisturiser??

I don't think I'd use glycolic and salicylic together but don't know if you should/shouldn't either!
I'll go and see if I can dig out the old fantastic skincare thread cheatsheets. They were very informative.

If you look at the OP, there are links to old threads and their "cheat sheets"

Littleshortcake · 13/05/2020 13:24

Oh great. I really appreciate it. You're too kind

Haha, you won't be saying that when your bathroom cabinet is as full of serums as mine! Grin

troppibambini · 13/05/2020 21:26

That's what I used too and as I said before it's working great for meSmile
