Looking for a new foundation with good coverage which gives a good dewy glow whilst being mattifying over t-zone area, non-cakey and doesn't sit in fine lines!

Any recommendations?

Huda beauty foundation is really good. It lasts all day on my oily skin without caking.

Hairydogmummy · 11/05/2020 21:19

I really like my Lancôme teinte idole. Sounds like it would fit the bill. My mum got me loads of samples in different colours from the counter. She's such a good customer! I also bought samples of several others from eBay. I was sick of buying full sizes and not liking them so tried a few first.

LidlDonkey · 11/05/2020 21:23

No 7 do a great medium coverage one. In a black bottle (can't remember the name as I've run out)

pinklashes98 · 11/05/2020 21:30

Fenty beauty by rihanna is lovely. I wore it for a wedding and it stayed perfectly all day and looked great in pictures. The variety of shades is also perfect!

TheCanterburyWhales · 11/05/2020 22:00

N7 Hydraluminous is my new holy grail. Buildable coverage but glowy as well.

More glowy (I mix the two sometimes) Bobbi Brown serum foundation.

Ifonlywecouldwishuponastar · 11/05/2020 22:02

Revolution conceal and hydrate. It's nicer than the Clinique one and cheaper! Lasts all day unlike maybeline, I had to apply twice in a day!

applecatchers36 · 11/05/2020 22:14

Lancome Teinte Idole is good it's a more full coverage foundation if that is what you are looking for? for a lighter but also good coverage alternative Estée Lauder double wear light would also rate highly

L0obyLou · 11/05/2020 22:17

I second No.7 hydraluminous. I've combination skin and unlike other foundations this one doesn't cake on my nose and doesn't sit in the lines around my eyes. £15 a bottle which has lasted me 9-10 months with regular use.

TeddyIsaHe · 11/05/2020 22:19

Another for Hydraluminous. I set it with a touch of powder on my tzone and it looks amazing all day. Only foundation I’ve repurchased multiple times.

raindrop84 · 11/05/2020 22:19

Thanks for your recommendations so far, No.7 hydraluminous sounds like its worth checking out!

Pixiefringe · 12/05/2020 11:19

Ive just ordered the reccommended no7 hydraluminous and im excited to try it 😄

raindrop84 · 12/05/2020 11:42

@Pixiefringe I'm tempted to order too, how did you go about picking a shade?? It's difficult not being able to test them!

Lndnmummy · 12/05/2020 12:32

d I’d like to give the N7 Hydraluminous a go. Any ideas on colour? Im a MAC c2 and bare minerals 03 buttercream

TheCanterburyWhales · 12/05/2020 13:00

Maybe try the Findation colour match?
I am a Calico in N7 foundations which matches me with N18 for Mac (though I've never used Mac) and a Cool Ivory for Bobbi Brown.

Nat6999 · 12/05/2020 16:41

I use the Revlon Candid photo ready anti pollution foundation. It is very matte & gives very good coverage, it covers so well I don't need to use concealer when I use it.

Elel · 12/05/2020 19:57

I tend to mix a bit of highlighter (current favourite is Bare Minerals Glow Highlighter Drops in Whimsy) with my foundation or tinted moisturiser. Applied to the cheek and eye area it gives a nice dewy look.

IndieTara · 12/05/2020 20:49

I recently bought IT Cosmetics Illuminating CC Cream and I absolutely love it.
It's matte but glowy and I have oily skin. It's buildable and smells gorgeous. It's not cheap but I think it's worth it. Also
I'm 53 and it doesn't sit in my lines either

Ladyglitterfairydust · 12/05/2020 21:40

Nars sheer glow is lovely.

raindrop84 · 14/05/2020 08:30

Has anyone tried Charlotte Tilbury magic foundation?

OP posts:
TeddyIsaHe · 14/05/2020 08:41

@raindrop84 yes and I don’t rate it at all. Very expensive for what it is.

If you want to go higher end have a look at Hourglass Vanish foundation stick. It’s quite ridiculously good!

dochas06 · 14/05/2020 08:55

YSL all hours is fab

Hairydogmummy · 15/05/2020 09:09

I got some samples of CT magic (which I had to buy off eBay). It was nice, and I would buy it, but wasn't blown away.

Pixiefringe · 15/05/2020 18:07

@raindrop84 I got it in cool ivory because I usually get fair/ivory in all foundations plus I am cool toned. I just really hope it's the right shade cos as you say not being able to test could be tricky with a new brand I've not tried yet😬

raindrop84 · 15/05/2020 18:11

@Pixiefringe I'm currently using a Bourjois foundation in light beige, tried to colour match online for the no.7 one but still wasn't sure! 🙈

OP posts:
TheCanterburyWhales · 15/05/2020 20:08

I've also tried the CT. Got a sample, loved it, bought a full bottle, Ebayed it. Grin What number is your Bourjois? I'm a 51 but only in summer.
