Recommendations please for self tan for my face

I'm 49 with good clear skin and and not many wrinkles (yet), I have oily skin and only use a very light moisturiser normally as anything else is too heavy.

I've tried facial self tan drops added to my usual moisturiser but found I had to put too much on and it made my face too greasy. I need something that sinks into my skin.

Tan Lux drops. The body stuff is amazing too.

I've tried Isle of Paradise tanning drops but had to add too many drops to get it to work and it just ended up really greasy.

Is Tan Luxe better?

I like st tropez purity face mist, not greasy and gives a really nice subtle colour.

StormyLovesOdd · 09/05/2020 12:56

Thank you, do you just spray the mist on, does it look even or do you also need to rub it n?

this one is amazing.

areallthenamesusedup · 09/05/2020 13:57

OP: have you tried the Clarins drops (that go into moisturiser?)....only need a tiny drop, easy to control. I know you said you had tried some but I can recommend these.

Iamthewombat · 09/05/2020 14:05

Those drops are rubbish in my experience. You have to use at least twice as many as the bottle says (and I am super pale, so should see a stronger effect if anything), and as the OP says you end up with a greasy feeling because the drops have an oil base.

I get the Lancaster face tanner from TK Maxx, those German women don’t accept inferior stuff, and I also like the Utan spray from Superdrug.

I like the Olay Total Effects 7 in 1 touch of sunshine moisturiser.

I second the Tan Luxe drops they are AMAZING! Don’t need to use many at all x

I'm a similar age to you and I alternate between the St Tropez mist (literally mist it on and around your neck/decolletage and you're done) and the Tan Luxe glow serum stuff with hyaluronic acid. Both excellent! You can use a 20% off code for both of them on Look Fantastic e.g. on ystyleireland's insta page.

Tan Luxe drops don't work for me either unless I use a lot of the product - the effect is still very subtle, even on my pale skin.

StormyLovesOdd · 09/05/2020 20:41

Thanks all, il will look into all these. Think the mist may be best for me as I don't want to add any extra oil to my already shiny face 😁

Tan luxe for me is great

500BusStops · 10/05/2020 07:46

I like the James Read overnight mask. It's in a white and gold pump. I also have oily skin and it's more like a hydrating gel than a moisturiser. I am also very pale, and this gives me a nice natural tint with no streaks.

Tropic sun drops

Karmagician · 10/05/2020 08:36

I haven't tried them myself as yet but saw a fab review for these the other day so thinking of giving them a go: www.cultbeauty.co.uk/drunk-elephant-d-bronzi-antipollution-sunshine-drops.html

The "white to brown" mist is great

Ohfrigginghellers · 10/05/2020 10:06

I quite like the garnier face mist.
