Anyone use Beauty Pie ?

Is it too good to be true ?

Are the products good?

How easy to cancel after 3 months?

Don't know anyone who has signed up and I am curious.

There are several very active Facebook groups full of reviews etc. I have been a member since December and have been really pleased with most of my purchases, altho there are inevitably a few duds because not everyone likes the same stuff.

SundayReilly · 08/05/2020 19:43

Thanks
Not on FB.
Sounds promising

I've been using it for about 6mo and I really like it, and a lot of my friends seem to have signed up on my recommendation too. The only thing I didn't love was the shampoo and conditioner. There wasn't anything wrong with it, it just wasn't amazing. I really love the foundation, although the price of the tester pack did annoy me. You can colour match online with other brands to find out what colour you need but I couldn't find a match for the #7 one I was using!

slipperyeel · 09/05/2020 10:15

I use it and really like it - the makeup and skincare are generally really good quality though I take their typical price thing with a pinch of salt.

leli · 09/05/2020 14:30

Like it a lot. Great skincare and I love the false lash flutter mascara.

PersonaNonGarter · 11/05/2020 10:46

I am thinking about this and wondering which of the membership packages to get. Does anyone know how often there are piedays?

Sarcelle · 11/05/2020 11:14

I cancelled after 3 months. I bought a fair amount in that time. I thought it was overrated. They have since extended the range but still not tempted to review.

The only think I liked was the One Powder Wonder, which I stockpiled, and a highlighter.

Thighmageddon · 11/05/2020 11:24

I've been a member for about six months.

Some products I'm hooked on, like the retinol and retinol eye cream, vitamin c capsules and the hyaluronic acid.

My next order will be to try some powder and mascara, Japan fusion cleanser and some self tanning products.

babychange12 · 11/05/2020 11:24

Meh I tried it but didn't really like the products so stopped after a few months

RenegadeMrs · 11/05/2020 11:33

I use it pretty much exclusively for skincare. I think the quality is good and I'm happy to keep using them for skincare. I really like a number of their cleaners and serums.

I agree with someone above about the shampoo and conditioner. I don't rate them.

I have had some make up in the past and also find that good enough for the price on the whole, but I don't use that much make up and have things I prefer from other brands.

PersonaNonGarter · 11/05/2020 11:43

Current members, how often do they do the allowance-free shops? Just wondering what the best level of membership to get?

I spend quite a bit on makeup and skin care each month, but on the other hand I don’t want to feel too tied.

XingMing · 11/05/2020 13:34

One Powder Wonder is magic in a compact. And I like the skincare, especially JapanFusion and Super Healthy Skin. The lip pencil in Rummy Pink is a perfect colour for a natural lip, on me. There are a few other items I'm planning to try as well. Less thrilled with the nail polishes, but it's the brush rather than the colours.

MonkeyGoneToHeaven · 11/05/2020 14:34

I love it, especially:

Super Healthy Skin shower gel, body polish, sleep oil and anti-ageing cream

Self tan - less than half the price of the Vita Liberata I used to use, and as good

One Palette Wonder - nearly a full face of makeup in one palette

Candles

I'm not so keen on the hair care or the mascara.

I have increasingly crepey skin on my eyelids so I need to get to grips with the 'serious' skin care they do such as the Retinol, but I am a little scared!

Retailqueenie · 11/05/2020 17:45

I've posted a few times about it - I love it! Today I got the wonder powder and it lives up to the reviews, its amazing - plus the mousse self tan which has gone on well, results will be tomorrow am!

I have bought a wide range of their skincare and makeup which I love - less impressed with hair products. Not bought candles or perfume. Esp like the foundation; bronzer, strobing drops, creamy eye pencils, shimmerbar, Jeju cleanser, and lipsticks..

I have the £5 subscription and spend about £20 per month on a about 3 products. Once I'm working again I'll probably pop it up to £10.

If you want to try it, use my code as it gives you the first month free... I also get a recommend a friend boost from this - for transparency..

Free Month

PersonaNonGarter · 11/05/2020 20:28

Thanks @Retailqueenie I’ve used your code

Now where to start...

user100987 · 11/05/2020 20:40

Sorry to be cheeky but if anyone else wants a free month my link here should work (and gives me some extra spending allowance which would be most useful this month!)

I pay £5 per month and find that's adequate as I like to pace myself (and need to use up what I own - a lot - before I buy new stuff)

MistsofAvalon · 11/05/2020 21:08

I've been a Beauty Pie 'member' for about 18 months and during that time they have really increased the range of products offered.

I've gradually replaced all my skincare - I was a loyal Liz Earle user for many years but needed to economise. My skin is better than ever and I now mostly use BP makeup too.

I don't love the shampoo (but I do highly rate the light daily conditioner) and the foundation wasn't great for me but nothing has been 'bad' or a costly mistake. The Jeju moisturiser has made a huge difference to the texture and comfort of my skin.

The Facebook groups and BP Instagram account have lots of info on the mechanics of membership and also skincare tips and upcoming new products. I'm genuinely happy to have found the range.

Hairydogmummy · 11/05/2020 21:24

I've only had it for a month. Got the £5 membership which is doubled in first month but don't think that'll be enough this month so I think will go to £10 one. I've had Japan fusion face wash, nail case coat, superdrops serum and the mascara and really pleased so far. I've heard the hair stuff isn't good from lots of people though.

Thighmageddon · 12/05/2020 08:51

@MonkeyGoneToHeaven try the retinol eye cream. I've found it seriously good stuff, on my third pump tube thing of it now.

BumBurnerBum · 12/05/2020 08:56

Thanks user, have used your code for a free month.

sunglasses123 · 12/05/2020 09:01

I was a member for just under a year. Some products were OK,, Perfect Wonder powder is good, the rest are just average and I brought most of their range to try. The perfumes were complete rubbish and didnt last long.

The lipsticks were OK and very Bobby Brown like. The skin care was nicely presented but the potential pricing were way out. No one pays for a non branded cleasning balm for £50!

The body products are OK but Soap and Glory standard (founder launched S&G). You can often get S&G in Boots during the many offers!

I cancelled in the end because I was just using my allowance up, not because I needed anything. I had a lot to use up (keep your allowance every month and you then just pay one set of postage!) so brought body butters and the shampoo and conditioner (which as others have said wasnt good!).

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 12/05/2020 09:07

It's really hit and miss for me. I like the stem cell lotion, I think that's what it was, the japan fusion cleanser in the pink tube.

Hated the Vit C capsules. Hated them with a passion.

Not sure about their pink hyaluronic lotion, a bit too scented.

Quite like their body creams. Wanted to try the scents, but the one I want is never in stock when I order.

sunglasses123 · 12/05/2020 09:36

When I was a member last year they did have a lot of products that were out of stock (the perfumes were out of stock for months). I ended up buying things I didnt really want to use up the allowance.

I am liberal with perfume and the bottles were 100ml but honestly you had to literally spray yourself all over for it to last for a reasonable amount of time. Maybe it was just me.

I didnt try them beforehand as I just know I will use up a good quality scent. I am not one of those women who uses the same scent for years on end.

MonkeyGoneToHeaven · 12/05/2020 09:40

Thank you @Thighmageddon I'll give the retinol eye cream a try.

Agree with PPs about the perfumes - too much of a 'furniture polish' smell and they last five minutes.

Retailqueenie · 12/05/2020 09:49

Your welcome PersonaNonGarter Hope you all enjoy your first orders...

Just to add another recommend - I am just about to reorder the tinted moisturiser, it’s worked really well In our mini Lockdown heatwave as it’s spf20 but not oil based, so no breakouts!
